I adore animals and have been taking care of them my whole life. Animals have always been a part of my family. I grew up with dogs, cats, reptiles, hamsters and recently have enjoyed raising chickens. When I was thirteen I started my own neighborhood dog walking business. Later friends and family trusted me with housesitting for their pets. I had many loyal clients and a reputation for providing quality care that’s reliable and trustworthy. I also volunteered for the Animal Care & Control in San Francisco where I socialized and cared for the dogs and cats that were waiting to be adopted. I am available to housesit your pets and I can board or provide daycare if you have dogs. I am also comfortable taking care of more than one animal and have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds and temperament. On a side note, i’m great with plants so if you have any plants you need taken care of while you're away they will be in good hands with me :)

Jane took great care of our anxious dog, Polly, in our home. And we could tell from all the pictures that Polly was really comfortable with Jane after only one night. We look forward to having Jane back in a couple weeks to sit Polly again!
Jane was awesome again! I have 3 cats. One of them gets an inhaler 2x/day for asthma and has recently started a special diet that required us to transition to microchip feeders. Then there was a bit of a comedy of errors as a few unexpected things came up. Another one of my cats started urinating outside the litter box due to a household change a week before my trip. Jane was incredibly understanding about the litter box issues and flexible as I got more info and interventions from the vet leading up to my trip. Then 2 nights before I was set to leave, my whole trip was shifted back by one day due to a scheduling error by the friend I was visiting. Jane was accommodating and flexible again. I'm so grateful that despite all the last minute changes, Jane was still able to watch my cats so I could get away for a weekend! She sent me updates, photos, and videos while I was gone, and I came back to a tidy home.
Jane was the best watching my sweet gal. She gave me plenty of updates and in every picture Mae was wagging her tail and looking very happy. We will definitely have Jane over to watch Mae again!
Jane is a fabulous dog sitter! She kept in contact all day, and took the best care of my Bobby Ross, and sent me to s of pics so I could see my baby while I had to be away. 10/10 recommend Jane and Tilly 💕
Jane did a fantastic job with our cats while we were away for 10 days. She sent regular photo and video updates of them getting quality one-on-one time and lots of playtime. We also came home to an immaculate house (almost cleaner than how we left it). She was also comfortable with my collection of houseplants, which was a big help. We will definitely be reaching out to her the next time we have a trip. Thank you, Jane!
Our dog had a great time and was well taken care of! Lots of pictures and videos were very much appreciated.

Schedule
I am available to house-sit or board your animals. I currently live in Oak park with my mom and our senior dog, Tilly, who is well socialized & loves furry company. There is more info and pictures of Tilly on my profile. My mom and I are home most of the day so your pups will be well looked after and will have plenty of opportunities for walks/potty breaks. We also have a large fenced backyard for the dogs to play in and plenty of space inside for your pups to lounge. Personally I enjoy cuddling on the bed with my dog and your pups are more than welcome to join us :)

Either way, I will treat your pets like my own and you can be assured that they will get lots of love, attention, cuddles and exercise :)

A typical day
I like to provide lots of enriching activities for the animals I care for whether its through play, walking, running and socializing. Depending on the dog and weather, I try to take one long walk daily in addition to potty breaks for exercise.

- I am flexible and willing to accommodate your dog(s) needs, however if I am boarding them they must be house trained and generally well mannered/behaved. They also must be comfortable with other dogs as they will be around my dog, Tilly, who is extremely friendly and well socialized. Additionally, the following information will help me provide the best care for your pets: - Does your pet(s) have any medical concerns? ie. rashes, allergies, skin tags, lumps, scratches, etc. - Does your pet(s) have any unique quirks/behaviors? - Are they allowed on furniture? - Do they pull on walks? - Do they have separation anxiety? -Do they get into things they are not supposed to? - What is their favorite form of play - ie. tug-of-war, tag, fetch, wrestling. - Have they been socialized? And do they get along with other dogs? - How do they play with other dogs? Are they alpha/dominant or submissive/neutral? - Do they have any triggers they are reactive to? - What is their feeding schedule/needs? Are they food aggressive/protective?
