We’ve had two pets and have cared for both puppies and elderly dogs. We’ve done dog sitting for lots of friends over the years and even done a little bit of fostering to help get dogs ready for their forever homes. ❤️

Jane is such a blessing!! We live in North Carolina and drove all the way to Michigan so we could go to Isle Royale. We needed someone to take care of our dogs, and I was very anxious about it because we don’t have friends or family in the area, or already trusted sitters. I also REALLY did not want to board our dogs in any of the local kennels - I’m sure they’re great, it’s just sad to think of my dogs in a cage in a room with other caged dogs :(. Jane provided so many pictures and updates, which I was able to thankfully receive while on Isle Royale because I had a satellite phone plan during our trip. Honestly, though, even if you can’t arrange for something like that, I would 1000% trust Jane to take care of your animals while you are out on the island and are unable to receive/send messages due to lack of cellular. She took great care of our pups, and made sure one of our dogs wore a little boot/sock I provided before taking them on walks because I noticed a blood blister on her paw before the stay started. I’m so happy Jane and her husband could watch our dogs. I was able to truly enjoy the wonder of Isle Royale because of her thoughtful care!
This was our first time switching sitters for our dog since moving to our new home. Jane was outstanding! She far exceeded our expectations, was great at communicating, and extremely friendly. I’ve never seen our dog so quickly at peace with another stranger before. Jane has such a peaceful energy and personality, our dog felt comfortable immediately & was excited to stay at her home. Jane picked up Stone from our home, & sent updates and videos while we were gone. We never had to worry about a single thing during our time away. Our dog loves to spend as much time as possible outside and Jane was more than accommodating, walking, playing and letting her roam around their beautiful property. We met Jared when we picked up Stone & he was just as kind and welcoming as Jane. We would highly recommend using Jane & Jared as hosts for your pet in the future. We can’t wait to take another trip, knowing we have found our new favorite go-to home for our girl. Thank you both! ❤️

Schedule
Both my husband and I work full time but on a school schedule so summers are free. Both of our schedules have some flexibility during the day to allow for potty breaks, etc.

I love to take dogs for walks, a snowshoe, or skiing. We have 5 acres on our property, which also allows for some good exploring and throwing balls with the chuck it.
