Reliable, active, loving care!
We have fostered several dogs and cats, cared for the pets of friends and family, and we recently said goodbye to our sweet 15-year-old rescue dog. We understand every stage of a pet's life, from the endless energy of puppies to the extra patience and care senior pets need. We both volunteer extensively with a local animal rescue. This has taught us how to read animal body language, work with different personalities, and create a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable. We are both home full-time and live active lifestyles, so your pet will have plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether they love long walks, playing in the backyard, sticking to a familiar routine, or curling up for a nap and some cuddles, we're happy to tailor our care to what makes them happiest.

Jana and her husband Tim have been dog sitting for me around 10 years. I never have any worries about the care they will recieved while I'm away. They truly loves dogs and take care of them like they are their own pups. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Jana and Tim have a wealth of experience with dogs, and it really shows. My Malamute and Husky can both be quite tricky and need someone who truly understands dogs, and they took exceptional care of them. They gave them tons of walks and exercise, provided a wonderful and caring home environment, and clearly treated them like their own. Best of all, my dogs absolutely adore them and are always so happy in their care. It’s such a relief to have someone I completely trust with my dogs. I would recommend Jana and Tim without hesitation to anyone looking for an experienced, caring, and dependable sitter or dog walker. We will definitely be booking again!
Jana and her husband Tim have looked after our current and previous dog many times in the past. They are experienced and patient with dogs of all temperaments and are true animal people. We know we can leave our dog with them without a worry and our dog always comes home happy and healthy after his vacation.

Schedule
We are retired from corporate life and do not work outside the home, which means pet care is our main focus. Our flexible day-to-day routine allows us to easily accommodate your dog's specific needs, whether that means extra potty breaks, attention throughout the day, or just having someone present in the house. Pets are never left alone for extended periods.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a small fenced yard and no resident animals. We live right next to Edworthy park, the Douglas Fir Trail, or a quick drive to Bowmont and the COP east lands. We would love to take your dog for offleash or onleash adventures, whichever you prefer. At night, your dog is welcome to sleep wherever they are accustomed, whether that be in our bedroom or in their own space elsewhere in the house.
A typical day
Typically, we start with breakfast and a morning walk followed by rest. Throughout the day, we build in enrichment (puzzle toys, stuffed Kongs, and play), with a second walk in the mid-afternoon. Depending on your dog's activity level, we often add a third walk after dinner. If your dog is a senior, we happily adjust the pace, distance, and routine to match their comfort level.

Before booking, we'd love to know: Daily Routine: Feeding schedules, exercise preferences, and favorite habits or comfort routines. Behavior & Temperament: How do they do on a leash, with other dogs, or around new people? Do they have any triggers, fear of thunderstorms, or resource guarding? Alone Time & Sleep Habits: How long are they used to being left alone, where do they sleep? Health & Medical: Any allergies, dietary restrictions, mobility limits, or medications? The more information you share, the better we can tailor our care to match their exact needs!
