I like to learn about each pet’s personality, routine, medical needs, and any behavioral quirks ahead of time so I can make them feel comfortable and cared for. Information about leash behavior, energy level, feeding routines, medications, and favorite activities is always helpful!
A typical day
I love keeping pets engaged and comfortable based on their individual personalities and energy levels. For dogs, I enjoy walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. For cats, I’m happy to do interactive play, cuddle time, and keeping their routine consistent. My main goal is always to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away.

Pet care experience
My most recent dog care experience is from my Kennel Technician job and my volunteer work at One Tail At A Time in Portland. I’ve gained experience safely handling dogs with different personalities, monitoring behavior, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment for both animals and people. I also completed Dog and Cat First Aid Training through American Red Cross.

Jana S has walked my Dog Lily, Jana is a very caring, loving animal person. Jana is a caring and reliable pet sitter. She has taken care of my cat during the last year during my monthly trips. Each time, I come home to a content kitty, and a tidy house. I never worry about my pet when I have to be away if Jana is caring for her. Her own cat has needed a daily medication and follow up vet visits. I know she takes loving care of her pet, who has become healthy and sound thanks to her close attention to his needs.
