I grew up with a german shepherd, this is where my love for dogs started. I have always had a special bond to animals and it doesn't matter if they are mine or not, I will treat them as part of my family. On my travels through Australia, New Zealand and now Canada I have looked after a lot of dogs, from small chihuahuas to bigger beautiful mixes, high energy retrievers or shy greyhounds, for friends or as professional housesits through 'Trusted Housesitters'. My family has been fostering rescue dogs for a while now so I have new characters around me all the time, have learned to read them really well and am very sensitive to each individual's nature and needs. My calm nature and patience makes animals trust me quickly and I have heard the sentence "wow they usually don't warm up that quick to strangers" a lot :) I am confident on trails, on the beach or just for a little walk around the block, I am happy when your furry baby is happy.

When she looked after our cat last year while we were away, it was clear she treated her as if she was her own, paying close attention to her routines, needs, and personality. Jana communicates thoughtfully, shows up reliably, and brings a warmth that both pets and people respond to. Beyond that, she’s simply a lovely human being—kind, responsible, and deeply committed to doing things well. I wholeheartedly support her in her desire to care for animals and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Jana was our pet/house sitter for about 10 days in Feb/March 0f this year. I believe the cats were in good hands with Jana. She left the house in a clean state which I very much appreciated. She is dependable and you can't go wrong with Jana. We'd definitely have her back to look after our 2 cats and highly recommend her for any pet sitting/walking duties.

Schedule
I work as a Barista at a local neighbourhood Café where my schedule usually allows me to walk dogs 3 times a week on my days off and even after work in the evenings. In my free time I spend most of my time outside, do a lot of hikes, go to the Beach to read and just enjoy spending time in nature exploring. I would love to have a furry companion who I can share my excitement for life and nature with.
