I'm available for cat-sitting and visits or dog-sitting and walks. I've been an animal lover from a very young age. I can't imagine not having pets in my life. I have volunteered with the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society for four years. Also, I was a foster for Cat Town in Oakland for over a year. I've cared for other cats or dogs on a short-term basis as needed. My current job allows me the freedom to begin pet sitting again. So here I am, excited to meet your fur babies. 😊 I've had pets throughout my life. I think of them as beloved family members. I'm currently a part-time content editor working from home, which allows me the flexibility to care for your cat or dog. I'd love to hear about your pet and your needs. While cat or dog sitting in a client’s house I act the way I would want someone to act in my home while pet sitting. The pet is my number one concern. I ensure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away. I adapt to the pet’s personality and behavior to help them feel as comfortable as possible. I’m pretty good at making pet friends. Also, I keep the house tidy, do dishes, clean up after the pets, and I’m respectful of your privacy.

We had a last minute trip for a funeral and Jana really helped us in a pinch. Our cats love her and she takes the BEST photos of them. We appreciate Jana so much!
Jana worked very well with Mimir! I was surprised by how quickly Mimir warmed up to her! The care and check ins were timely and well documented, and Mimir was found healthy and happy upon my return!
Jana was wonderful with our shy kitties. She got them out of their shells for some play time, providing great pictures at the end of the day, and even spent extra time with them (beyond her amount of booked time) to make sure they were cared for!
Jana did such a great job visiting and caring for my two kitties. She takes great photos which is very soothing when you’re missing your fur babies. She was consistent and great with communication. And she did great at connecting with my kitties. I will definitely hire her again!
Jana is a wonderful kitty and house sitter. She is warm, communicative, easy going and reliable. I felt 100% comfortable leaving our buddies in her care which is not that easy for me. :) The house was left in immaculate shape and she kept my plants alive too! Book her if you can!

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule. With notice I can plan for overnight pet care. Also, for visits or walks I can also be flexible to accommodate your needs.
