Animal lover extraordinaire!
I have always loved pet sitting and volunteering at the shelter! I'm happy to tailor my services to your needs and am available to house sit as well. Your pets will receive heaps of attention from me! For dog walks, I will walk your dog on average for 15-30 min, more or less if needed. I always stick around a bit to give the dog some extra love, attention, and play time. I do the same for cats in addition to changing over their food/water/litter box. I am not an expert in giving medicine but I have done it many times and can help your pets with theirs if needed. I used to pet sit professionally growing up. Starting in May 2016, I spent a year with the Southeastern Guide Dog Foundation helping to raise and train guide dogs. I currently am volunteering with the Summit Co Animal Shelter and have been for 6 years. I have no restrictions when it comes to pet size! Small or large I love them all. Jana had numerous glowing reviews before I decided to book her to care for my dogs, and now I’m adding to that long list! She 100 percent lived up to those reviews. She was extremely communicative, she was great with my pups and made them feel at home. (They were so sad to leave her, that when we got back to our house, they didn’t want to leave our car!) An unexpected issue arose with one of the dogs, and she handled it kindly and patiently. I never had any worries about my dogs while they were in her care, and I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my dogs were in a safe place. Bonus if you book Jana: She comes with the most amazing beanbag seat in the world! 😅
Jana has been caring for my elderly cat who requires medication twice a day. She is compassionate and provides daily photos and updates.
I could tell that Oscar was very happy seeing you a couple times each day while we were gone. Thanks so much for looking after him.
Jana was great! While my cat is very timid and shy, Jana was very patient with her and tried getting her to come out and play. I will definitely be booking Jana again.

Schedule
I work full time but use a lot of my free time to walk or hike and always welcome a fluffy companion! House sitting is the easiest option for long term care.

Caring for your pets will depend on what your preferences are and what your pet is used to. I do what I can to learn their daily routine (if they have one), as well as rules such as furniture allowance and dietary restrictions. I spend a lot of time at the shelter socializing animals, so to me the pet sitting experience is more than just switching over litter or going for a walk! It's also about just spending time with them, whether playing games or sitting and reading together.
A typical day
What I do with your dog will depend on your preferences and the dog's interests! Whether your dog is more interested in longer walks, puzzle games, tug of war, or snuggle time, I aim to cater my services to their specific needs. The same goes for cats!
