Availability
I am a retired and active senior. So, I am flexible. I am available any day between about 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. I weave my other commitments in with my cat sitting commitments. I am a friendly, reliable and playful cat sitter available to cat sit in the Sacramento area. That is a large area and I try to keep my commute time to about 30 minutes to and from a cat sitting appointment. I will commute longer for an overnight visit. That area generally covers Natomas, West Sacramento, Midtown, East Sacramento, Curtis Park, Elmhurst, upper Land Park, McKinley Park and the Rio Linda area. Cat care experience
I have lived with and cared for my own and family cats most of my life. I have learned many ways to give cats oral medications and I have given my cat subcutaneous vitamin B12 injections. I volunteered with a cat rescue where I fostered kittens and adult cats … some with health issues and some with behavioral issues. I have also volunteered cat sitting for friends in the past.

Jan is a dedicated, knowledgeable, conscientious animal lover as well as a kind and reliable person in general. I've known her for more than 25 years (I'm her husband!) She's cared for our pets and for others we fostered when she volunteered for a shelter. She's always been committed to their well-being, providing lots of loving attention, proactive veterinary care, the best of food, and the best living conditions she can. She learned to administer medications when that was necessary and has educated herself on pet health issues so as to spot warning signs of illness early. I don't know anyone I'd be happier to have care for any animal I loved. Even if she wasn't my wife I'd want her to take care of my pets when I wasn't around.
Jan is one of the best and most trustworthy people whom I have known for decades, as both a colleague and friend. Jan has cared for many people’s cats, young and old, with all kinds of personalities. She is highly familiar with cat behaviors, and knows what they need. Whenever we’re together, our conversations often turn to our favorite cat stories, full of endearment and laughter! She cared for our elderly kitties on many occasions and took excellent care of them, as well as keeping a good eye out for the security of our place when we were out of town.
