Dogs are pure spirits-their energy contagious and for me, one of life’s greatest joys is walking a dog. I have also found great joy in fostering dogs, getting them ready for their forever homes. I enjoy experiencing each dog’s unique personality. Dog sitting which I have done for the past two years is a way for me to get dogs in my life after losing mine to cancer several years ago. I am a dog lover, the dogs know it and love staying with me. I enjoy walking and dogs have convinced me to take them on multiple walks during the day and night! My yard is fenced which allows dogs to play fetch as well as to “guard” the deck from those pesky squirrels. I only take multiple dogs if they are from the same family.

We love Jan. We have used her for a very long time. She is now taking care of our puppy. The dogs love her. She asks so many great questions when we drop off so she can be prepared. She sends tons of pictures and is a great communicator.

Jan takes great care of my two dogs, Edie and Puppy. They always enjoy visiting her. Jan keeps me updated about my dogs throughout the day, from morning until night, so I feel like I'm still with them even while I'm away on vacation. She treats them to special outings, such as book club, and makes sure they're well-groomed, even giving them baths. Jan truly pampers my dogs every single day.
Jan is a highly reliable dog sitter who consistently provides updates regarding Edie and Puppy. My dogs appeared well cared for under her supervision and benefited from engaging play sessions during their stay. Jan also coordinated play dates, offering them a stimulating and enjoyable environment. She demonstrates attentiveness to the needs of my dogs and has even provided toys for them to take home.
Jan was amazing with our puppies. This was the first time we left them alone for an overnight trip and Jan did great keeping them calm and their anxiety levels down. She also send loads of pictures which we really appreciated. All in all we highly recommend her and will definitely reach out to her again when we need to board our puppies.

Schedule
I walk dogs here and there throughout the day. I may be gone for an hour and then come back home to play with the dogs under my care.

My job is to keep any dog under my care safe and happy. I double leash dogs when I walk them. I have a fenced yard but I never leave the dogs in the yard alone. I have gates for my kitchen and bathroom. I keep all internal doors closed when I am away. I hand wash my floors and clean all rugs and bedding with each new stay.
A typical day
I take the dogs on long walks. Minimum of 2 times a day; sometimes 3 if the dog insists. I also only take multiple dogs from one family at a time.
