A vacation for dogs!
Friends call my home a dog retreat and relaxation center. It's a quiet, country setting with room to run, plenty to explore, and comfortable lounging. I've been fostering dogs and puppies with Redwood Pals Rescue for years and am a vetted volunteer with the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. I'm happy to send you photos or videos of how your dog's doing and feel free to text/call for updates anytime.

Jamie was wonderful to work with and took great care of our dog Moose. Communication with Jamie was easy and she had the ability to be flexible with date changes and accommodations. We got updates during the trip and Moose came back to us happy and healthy. She had no problem medicating our dog twice a day and she made pick up and drop off very convenient. Would 100% book Jaime again.
We were absolutely delighted and relaxed with Daisy in Jamie‘s care. She sent us multiple pictures during Daisy’s stay and Daisy looked relaxed and peaceful. We would absolutely use Jamie again!
Jamie was fantastic. We came up here on a vacation camping in the state park and I didn’t realize how limiting it would be with a dog. Jamie came to the rescue and provided the best care for our dog during the trip. She sent messages and kind words about our dog. Also gave her plenty of time running around. Schedule
I work from home most of the time. Dogs love the country routine and seem to relax here. I live rurally, in Southern Humboldt, but can meet for drop-offs and pick-ups in the Redway/Garberville area or the Arcata/Eureka/McKinleyville area or anywhere in between. For stays less than 4 days, I'll ask that we add the pick-up/drop-off fee to help w the drive time.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced yard, dog doors to come in and out of the house, and different areas to keep dogs separate, if needed. I usually keep new dogs separated from mine till they get to know each other and show that they like each other. I also have baby gates and can use dog crates inside if needed. I have hosted a lot of foster dogs and puppies for the Rescue and retreats for dogs from the Animal Shelter and have participated in numerous trainings with professional animal trainers and behaviorists. I know when I have to be away from my dogs that they need a kind person to hang out with, some fun, and a comfortable place to hangout till I can come back for them.

A typical day
Dogs love to explore the large yard area, lounge in the sun, lounge in the shade, take leashed walks on the mountain, lounge in the house..... eat treats.
