I have always had pets—cats, dogs, fish, rats, birds, and even snails. I have cared for animals of all ages and types of needs but am particularly well-versed in senior care, including medication , subQ fluids, and special comfort for dementia/arthritis. In terms of non-furry pets, I’m an aquarium enthusiast (freshwater) and happy to care for your fish, shrimp, and snails while you’re away; I know the signs to look for in terms of fish illnesses or tank imbalance and will keep you up to date while you’re gone.

Safety, trust & environment
Happy to provide all the playtime and snuggles they might want! Will generally keep dogs away from other dogs unless you expressly tell me they enjoy meeting strangers. For cats, I like to give them their space at first so they can decide on their own that they want my attention; I’m thrilled when they decide to trust me and take treats and/or pets.

Schedule
I work from home, so I will be home with your pets most of the time for overnight stays as long as I have internet access! My work schedule is often pretty flexible.

- Please let me know if your pet has any particular needs or idiosyncrasies—I want to make them as comfortable as possible. For instance, are they afraid of storms? Are they allowed in the bed/on your furniture? I’ve even known dogs that are terrified of bare feet! I’d rather get too much information than too little.
