I used to only be available for holiday breaks and weekends while teaching but I have recently been open to anytime to set my own schedule. Since I do have a puppy, I would ideally have a set weekly or daily routine with you so I could take care of my dog in between. I am open to what your needs would be first.

A typical day
I like making animals feel safe and comforted but also have fun! I can offer to play with them with toys, games, snacks, pets, brushing, training practice, short and long walks.

I’m easy to talk to and flexible with my availability. I understand life happens and you may need care suddenly or cancel care unexpectedly. I can walk and feed 2-3 times/day. I have experience administering medicine to senior and puppy dogs. I have been a dog owner to a corgi who lived a happy 16 years and more recently to a pitbull mix puppy. I can handle various food preparations, energy levels and routines. Since moving to Michigan, I have 5 years experience dog sitting for 4 families in Traverse City during holiday breaks, weekend overnights, and unexpected potty breaks. I keep houses very clean and tidy anytime I stay overnight. I send daily pics of their animals, communicate clearly everyday that I spend with their fur babies, and respond quickly. I have a degree in Sociology, Multiple subjects K-8 Teaching credential from California and Michigan, 12 units of art from community colleges, and 20 years experience working with children and animals.

Jamie is a great and loving pet caregiver. Her love for animals and attention to their well being is a bonus to having her watch my pets in the past. I felt comfortable leaving my loved ones in her care. And she had no problem following my instructions on the care and feeding of my pets.
Jamie cared for our sweet corgi Quincy. She was so sweet and understanding of his needs and wonts. She showed kindness and compassion to our dog. Jamie was very knowledgeable about how to be playful as well as professional with him.She encouraged Quincy to take long walks in our neighborhood. When he needed anything she was always quick to respond to his needs. I could tell from early on Jamie loved dogs and loved to care for them as if they were her own.
