Pet care experience
Your Fur Baby’s Favorite Auntie! 😊
I am an Air Force Veteran, (I do offer a 10% discount for Veterans) who has served in various capacities. My experience in health services management includes emergency response and first aid care. I have knowledge in medical terminology and pharmaceutical care in both human and veterinary care. During the last 10-15 years of veterinary office and animal emergency room care, I gained experience with dog and cat handling, medication administration, administering insulin injections, drawing up vaccines, blood draws and lab testing. Sometimes, I am able to do nail trims on cooperative cats and dogs. I am currently certified in animal first aid and CPR. As an animal care professional, it takes more than love and passion. It takes dedication, determination, reliability, and commitment to provide the best of care for your beloved companion.

Safety, trust & environment
There are many things to consider as far as safety. I am respectful of your babies' boundaries. I let them approach me and "sniff" me out. I never want to infringe on their territory. During walks, I am mindful of my surroundings; avoiding any interactions that could arise when there are people or other dogs nearby. I watch for traffic and making sure your baby does not try to lunge out towards moving vehicles. WEATHER CONDITIONS: it's extremely important to avoid or limit walks during extreme weather conditions. For example high temperatures, some dogs do better than others in the heat. I am cautious when walking in heat above 80F, Dogs are just as susceptible to having heat stroke. Cold weather is just as dangerous; especially for breeds that aren't acclimated to it. I never want to walk a dog in temperatures below 20F; even if they are bundled up. I limit walks to 10-20min when the temperatures are between 20-40F and temperatures between 80-90F, depending on the breed. Dogs are just as susceptible as humans to hypothermia and frost bite. I allow them to go out long enough to go potty and come right back in. Whether it's hot or cold, I recommend that my clients pay attention to their babies' feet and provide some form of foot protection. Things like walking on ice or salted areas can cause damage to the feet. During the nicer weather, wiping their babies' feet after walks is important because they may come into areas where the grass has been fertilized.
Ratings and reviews
We had a wonderful experience with Jamie and have already booked her again! She took excellent care of our two cats for a week and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats can be very anxious, especially during severe storms, and she handled everything with patience and compassion. She also navigated maintenance needing access to our home during our trip, which was incredibly helpful and took a lot of stress off of us. She was communicative, attentive, and clearly cared about our cats’ well-being. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and are so grateful for everything she did. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Another great stay! Jamie is great and I’d recommend her to anyone. True animal lover, my cats love her!

Jamie and Rocket got along famously!

Jamie is simply amazing! Our little dog Mika can be challenging due to multiple medications and also she’s a very nervous dog. Jamie did a wonderful job with her! She’s worth her weight in gold!!!

Jamie took care of our 2 senior dogs, that both required some extra care. One of our dogs is blind and diabetic, requiring insulin injections twice daily and Jamie did an amazing job with his injections. Our other dog has both AM and PM medication routines and once again Jamie did great managing his medications too. Our pups both looked very happy in the pictures we received and Jamie was great with communicating about her visits and any questions she had. We will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!

Another great stay for our pooches! Jamie always takes great care of them and our home while we're gone allowing us to enjoy vacation worry-free.

Schedule
Overnight pet care in your home: as much outdoor time as your fur baby may want and need; walks as required or requested; and plenty of playtime! Potty breaks as a norm is every 2-4 hours during the day. Food, water, and medications will be given as per client’s instructions. It is very helpful to provide as much information as to the pet’s care in order to reduce any interruptions in their schedule. Dog Walking: 30 or 60 minute walk as weather dictates. During inclement weather, dogs will be allowed to go outside long enough to go potty and the remaining time for indoor play or cuddling. The client does have the option to cancel. (Currently booked-up for walking from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday) Drop-in visits for cats and dogs: 30 or 60 minutes typically include potty breaks for the dogs, litter boxes checked and scooped as necessary for the cats, feeding and water refills, any medication administration, and of course playtime or cuddle time. (Currently not available for drop-ins from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday)
