I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs and cats. They have a HUGE soft spot in my heart and are big babies who need lots of care and attention. I loved my previous position as Senior Associate Lead in the PetSmart PetsHotel. While there, I supervised associates ensuring the facility remained clean and healthy for all pets and humans. I made sure each animal had a sufficient amount of playtime and bathroom breaks throughout the day. I prepared each feeding for between 25 and 150 animals on any given day with VERY close attention to detail to ensure the pets well being. Each pet had specific requirements for each meal specified by the owner including food, portion size, frequency of feedings and any special instructions given (such as how the food was to be served or if any medications were to be included). I was trained in administration of medications (oral and topical) and monitoring pets who had become ill or injured while staying with us. I tracked each feeding and bathroom break, as well as vomit/diarreah with charts to ensure everything was going well while the pet parent was away. I'm also trained in group play between non-aggressive breeds (which I have no problem with one-on-one time spent with any dog who does not get along with others). At any given time I would be in control of 16 dogs in an open play environment. Sometimes they were all HUGE and rough (: and sometimes the largest breed was 5 pounds! I have been trained in animal and human safety in groups of animals and am confident in getting an animals attention when necessary. The biggest reason that I'm looking forward to helping your pet and family is because I GREATLY miss my position in the PetsHotel. I want a dog so badly but am unable to own one where I live. I would love to help with your fur babies to fill the void in my heart! 💛 I like to be flexible with my schedule, which means I could be available for you on occasion or with a set schedule. My daughter dances a LOT. We are at the studio on a regular basis. I can always arrange transportation for her, but would need to secure that before I could commit to anything further from my home. I am unfortunately unable to provide in home care because I live in an apartment with 2 cats. I have reached the maximum capacity for pets where I live. We do have a GREAT dogpark and would absolutely be willing to provide transportation for your pet to have playtime and get some exercise! I have been trained in safety in large groups of dogs and know how to react quickly before a bad situation occurs to keep everyone safe and happy.
