Animal Lover Looking to Help Others
We are a couple in our 40's with a lot of experience with animals both from having our own pets, from Jamie helping with her Aunt and Uncle's animals when they had their ranch, and fostering. Most of our dogs have been medium to large, but we have watched smaller dogs as well. Our house has a basement area good for dogs to run around, and we have a reasonably large fully fenced back yard or run lines in the front yard for when the dogs want to be outside. (Though if they just want to cuddle on the couch that's cool, too.) Brian is retired so he's available all day, and Jamie is a writer that works from home which means there is pretty much always someone here. We are home all day, and so we can attend to pet needs at all times. We are very flexible as far as making sure to match the rules and comforts a dog gets at home. We offer a lot of personalized attention, flexible exercise options. Don't be surprised if they come home with a new toy.

Jamie and Brian have been wonderful and made me feel at ease when leaving Dexter with them. Jamie’ was very welcoming during our meet-n-greet, and Dex settled in quite nicely during his first visit. Jamie sent me frequent pictures and updates, and when I picked Dex up she gave me feedback on Dex and how he did during his stay. Dexter will be staying with Jamie and Brian again very soon while I’m on vacation. I feel very comfortable leaving Dex in their capable hands and am grateful he will be well taken care of! Jamie and Brian took excellent care of our senior dog August 1st-2nd. He's been struggling with arthritis and they did everything possible to make him most comfortable as possible. 10 out of 10 you can tell they genuinely love the pups they care for!

Schedule
We're both home full time, so there is constant care and attention available. Even if one of us has to go out, it is extremely rare (see once every few month or so) when we are both out of the house at the same time. Other than when we go for walks together, and we'd take the dogs (visitors and our Luna) with us for those. We can handle drop offs and pick-ups any time from 8am to 9:30pm without notice. If you need earlier or later arrangements we can take in dogs as early as 6 am or be awake for you to collect them as late as 11pm, but we ask you let us know ahead of time so we can make sure we're not in our pajamas. :)

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is set up with multiple open areas to encourage play, we feed all dogs separately to prevent food aggression incidents, and we have a fenced yard and run-lines for outside time. Dogs on run lines are supervised when outside for added safety.
A typical day
We will walk around the Sweden Hills Neighborhood, possibly take a car ride to Hamlin Beach State Park, and there are a wealth of toys for the homebody dogs, too. Couch cuddles are also freely available as is time outside in our front or back yard.
