Hi there! My name is Jamiah, but feel free to call me by my nickname, Mia! I started building my pet care business in 2017. Now in 2025, I work at a non profit as a Communications & Marketing Specialist. While I took time away from Rover to start my career, my heart is calling me back to my ultimate passion-providing high quality care and comfort for all furry friends, while meeting fantastic like-minded people along the way! My love for all animals is deeply immense. Thanks to my mother-I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, as well as birds! And I was encouraged to always look out for animals and even saved a pregnant cat and raised a litter of kittens when I was 10 (I will share that story when we have the pleasure of meeting). With the animal lover trait being instilled in me, I take the utmost pride in being selected to look after yours. I currently have 1 dog (german shepherd) and 1 cat! I also take care of my mom’s dog (shepherd mix). I attended Conrad Schools of Science and chose the Animal Science career pathway for 3 years. Those 3 years provided me with the basic knowledge about all barn animals and pets. This experience enabled my passion for helping animals no matter how large or small. I’ve always taken the opportunity to volunteer and give back to shelters who need support. Faithful Friends became my home for a few summers as I walked dogs and cleaned countless litter pans. I am very well-rounded and balanced as it comes to animal care. I truly hope we get a chance to meet for your upcoming pet care needs!

Jamiah recently stayed in our house for a few days caring for our dogs and cat. It was a great feeling to take a trip knowing that Jamiah was taking care of everything. She kept in touch each day and sent pictures which we really appreciated. We'll absolutely contact Jamiah for any future house/pet sitting needs

Mia is absolutely fantastic! She is incredibly sweet and very willing to go above and beyond. Our cats instantly warmed up to her. She also provided many pictures during each of her stop-in's showing how our fur babies were doing. We will absolutely be using her services in the future and highly recommend to anyone considering hiring her services.

Schedule
I do work full-time right now but my schedule is a hybrid one and thankfully extremely flexible! Do not hesitate to elaborate on your scheduling needs, I will always accommodate and coordinate with you effectively. I’m extremely open and always happy to help out :-)

- I would like to know about the dog's personality, their preferences when it comes to walks, food, treats, even where they like to be pet or how they like to play. Just general things that will help the dog feel as comfortable as possible with me! I do not have any breed preferences!
