Experienced and Loving Dog Care
Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently do not have any dogs as my sweet boy crossed the rainbow bridge in July 2026. I have experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, temperaments and needs; from playful puppies to loving seniors who need a little extra patience, comfort and attention. I don't believe in simply "watching" a dog. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home while their family is away. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give each dog. I am attentive to their routines, personalities, body language and little quirks. Your dog won't just be another booking to me. They will be a guest in my home and treated like one of my own. I work from home and so I am here to provide attention and not just put them in a crate. Dogs will have free roam, unless requested to be in a crate from their family. I also only book one family at a time. I believe dogs do best when they receive plenty of individual attention so I keep my environment comfortable and just want to make their routine and stay feel as normal and comfortable as possible. I will offer photos, videos and updates so you can relax and know your pup is happy and doing well! I have cared for dogs through all stages of life, including senior care. I am comfortable with medications, routines, and keeping a close eye on changes in behavior or well-being and giving older dogs the extra TLC they may need. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was caring for my own dog, Bear. When he was diagnosed with kidney disease, I was initially told that because he was almost 14, he may only have about six months. I devoted myself to his care and learned everything I could about CKD. I ultimately helped reverse his disease from stage 3 to stage 1 and he lived to be 16 1/2 . Caring for him taught me just how important patience, attentiveness, consistency and advocating for your pet can be. After a lifetime of having dogs by my side, I am not quite ready for another dog of my own yet, but I miss having a dog to care for and the joy they bring. Rover feels like the perfect way for me provide the kind of loving, attentive care I would want for my own without making it a full time commitment just yet. I would love to meet your pup and give them a wonderful home away from home while you're away!

I actually had the pleasure of being Jami's dog sitter for several years, so I’ve gotten to see firsthand just how much she loves and cares for animals. I can honestly say that she is one of those people who just has a natural way with animals. Over the years, I’ve seen how attentive she is to her pets and how much time, love, and thought she puts into their care. She has cared for senior doggies too and I learned a lot from her about medical care and dog health. She has also fostered a few dogs, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about making sure every animal feels safe and loved. Her home is clean and very pet friendly with a fenced in yard. She even makes natural treats for her own pets and for her friends’ dogs, which I think says a lot about how much she goes above and beyond. She also cares about animals beyond just the ones in her own home. She has taken time out of her own day to search for missing dogs that get posted on Downriver and Friends and has actually helped find and reunite some of them with their families. That’s just the kind of person she is. After knowing her and caring for her dog for several years, I would for sure suggest her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet. She is loving, responsible, attentive, and truly understands animals. Your pet would absolutely be in great hands with her!
Jami is a knowledgeable, empathetic, and loving caregiver who genuinely cares for both people and pets. She cared devotedly for her senior dog, Bear, whom she adopted at a young age. Even as Bear developed kidney disease and other health issues, Jami worked diligently to keep him happy, healthy, and comfortable throughout his life. Schedule
I currently work from home and can take breaks throughout the day, so your pup will get the care they need! I’m able to provide plenty of potty breaks, playtime, attention, and companionship throughout the day, so they won’t be left alone for long periods of time and my office door is always open!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard where your pup can safely play and get outside. I provide a calm, loving environment and will follow your pet’s routine, feeding instructions, and any special needs. I can also easily crate your dog if needed and will always make their safety and comfort a priority. Your dog will be treated like family, and can free roam in my home, but I will also respect the routine and rules you have established at home.
