Once while driving, I pulled over because I saw a dog I wanted to meet — that’s me in a nutshell. Very dog and cat obsessed. I will care for your pet as if they were mine (because really, I will be trying my hardest to forget you exist). I am very detail-oriented by nature, observant to any behavioral or health changes, and respectful of any boundaries your pet may set. I had a German Shepherd of my own for many years but he recently passed. Thanks to the time Duke and I spent together, I am now well-versed in fetch etiquette (no take, only throw), leash aggression, picky eating habits, bloating, and the infamous long sigh when I don’t take him out for our 11th walk of the day.

Safety, trust & environment
For the most part, the pet dictates the care. I like to stay consistent with their daily routine (walks, feedings, play, etc.) as I find it helps their anxiety and overall comfort. But what we do outside of that depends entirely on the individual pet whether it be hiking, throwing a toy across the living room 114 times (actually), or snuggling on the couch -- I am down for all of that and more. If your dog likes to run marathons though, I'm afraid I'll have to politely decline as I'll need my own sitter if I run for that long!

We chose James based on his glowing reviews and let me just say, I am SO glad we did. I wish there was an option to give 10 stars. We have 2 very different dogs. One is very quirky and James was not only willing, but seemed excited to play bubbles, the hose, and even late night beach ball with him. He sent us great updates, photos and videos, some so funny that I have rewatched them too many times. This was the first time I came home and genuinely worried my dog would miss James and want him over me lol. He left our house spotless, took great care of everything around the house. Even was flexible enough to leave in the early morning hours because we came in on a red eye. He is the BEST. Anyone is lucky to have him as a dog sitter. Brady and Winston miss him already.
James is one in a milllion!!! A true gem!!! We were so happy to have home take care of our boy. ❤️
James was great once again! He gave us very detailed updates and took tons of fun photos. It's clear he really enjoys playing with our dogs, and that they like him too!
This was our third time booking with him, and once again he was absolutely wonderful! We were away for a full week, and having someone we completely trust with our dog gave us so much peace of mind. We knew our dog was safe, happy, and getting lots of love and attention while we were gone. He always keeps us updated with photos and messages, which makes being away so much easier. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches, and our dog is always excited to see him. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter and will continue to book with him whenever we travel. Highly recommend!
James is amazing! He went above and beyond to take such wonderful care of our old anxious pup and was just so incredibly loving and patient with her! We so enjoyed his detailed updates complete with pictures, videos, and descriptions of how our dog was doing and how their day went. Not only has James been our favorite sitter but we are very certain that he is our dog’s favorite sitter too!!!
James was an excellent pet sitter and house sitter for us. He took amazing care of our dog and cat, to include over the July 4th weekend where our dog had significant fireworks anxiety. We got daily photos and videos, and its clear James really invested in engaging the animals in games and activities throughout his time caring for them. I think he even taught our dog some new tricks! Our home was returned even cleaner than he found it, which was unnecessarily kind of him. We hope to work with James again!

Schedule
I work fully remotely with very flexible hours so I can be available during most times of the day or night to play with, care for, and to give all of my love to your four legged children.
