I can't remember a time when I wasn't caring for animals. With over 15 years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, birds (you name it) I treat every pet as if it were my own. That includes your beloved companion, who'll get my undivided care and attention. Beyond household pets, I've worked in more formal animal-handling settings. At the zoo, I assisted full-time keepers with husbandry tasks like preparing enrichment items and food, and cleaning habitats. In my spare time, I volunteer at Paws and Pause Dog Daycare because I simply can't get enough of dogs (though I love caring for every animal, no matter how many legs, beaks, or wings it has). I've handled young puppies and kittens, small pets and very large ones, and senior animals with special needs so I'm confident I can fully care for yours. I bring high standards and professionalism to this work because I know how much your pet means to you. They're family, and I'll treat them like my own. Because I care for pets in your home rather than mine, my first priority is respecting your space and keeping your pet comfortable in the environment they already know and trust. Before our first booking, I'll walk through your pet's routine, feeding instructions, medications, and any house rules. During visits and stays, I stick closely to your pet's normal schedule, keep doors, gates, and leashes secure at all times, and stay alert to anything out of the ordinary including appetite, energy, and bathroom habits so I can flag concerns early. On walks, I keep pets leashed and under control, choose safe routes, and adjust for weather, age, and energy level. I treat your home with the same respect I'd want for my own: tidy, secure, and exactly how you left it. And I keep you updated throughout with photos and messages so you always know your pet is safe and happy.

Schedule
I currently work part-time, which makes me extremely flexible and available throughout the day for your pet. I offer walks, home visits, and overnight stays in your home, and I structure my day around your pet's routine. I'm available for early morning walks before work, lunchtime visits to break up your pet's day, and evening walks to wind down. Weekends are wide open too for me. I'm also reachable throughout the day for updates and photos, so you're never left wondering how your pet is doing.

- Please let me know in advance if your dog has any special needs, medical conditions, medications, allergies, or particular behaviours I should be aware of. Anything from separation anxiety to reactivity around other dogs, resource guarding, or a fear of loud noises. The more I know, the better I can keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. I'm experienced with all breeds and sizes, from tiny puppies to large, energetic dogs and gentle seniors, so I don't have breed restrictions but I do ask that dogs are up to date on vaccinations and reasonably socialised for walks. If your dog has a specific routine, favourite toys, or comfort habits, share those too so I can keep their days as normal and reassuring as possible while you're away :)
