James can care for
Availability
I work remote so my schedule is wide open as far as availability is concerned.. If that changes I will communicate it. If I am with your dogs they are my first priority. I am laid back and very flexible. I take the care of your best friend very serious.

Safety, trust & environment
I try to keep your dog on the same schedule that you keep them on, although they may get longer walks and more belly and shoulder rubs with me.
Information James R. would like to know about your pet
I usually try to meet the dog before sitting for them because I do not want a dog or myself to be in an uncomfortable situation. I am a TALL guy and sometimes that can be intimidating to some dogs initially however in time I have found your dog will love me.
A typical day
There is no typical day for me as a dog sitter just ask me about Nicholas Cage. Every dog is different and every owner and their expectations for how their dog is treated is different. I will go above and beyond for you and your dog. I have had clients with dogs of various temperaments and needs including some with special needs. Some clients have asked me to care for their plants, pools, and even paint their houses while they are away. The only typical thing for me and a dog is that I will spoil them with attention and sometimes treats if permitted, I carry treats in my car for whenever I see or meet a new dog.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was four years old. In the last five years I have traveled the country and dog/house sat in 8 states for neighbors, friends, family, and friends of. I have had experience in puppy training and working with dogs of all ages and size. I will treat your dog as if it were my own best friend! I am responsible and reliable and if I am free I will help as soon as possible! I like to provide fun updates to owners about the adventures their dogs and I have. Warning: You may come home to your dog wanting to go home with me.
Reviews

James was wonderful. When I returned home all was perfect. He cared for my plants..fountains...fish..outdoor cats and of course my 4 inside dogs. I don't even think they missed me. He won them as well as me over and Im hard to please. Highly recommend!

We needed a petsitter to stay at our house while we were away for 8 days. This was our first trip away from our dogs (rescues adopted in December and January). One dog takes a little while to warm up to new people (and she acts like she might eat them until she gets used to them). The other dog is VERY ENERGETIC and tends to get into trouble if left unsupervised for extended amounts of time. I read through Rover reviews for petsitters who would stay at house and James had excellent reviews even from owners with difficult dogs. We really appreciated him coming to our house not once but twice. for everyone to get more comfortable with each other before our trip. The "slow to warm up to new people" dog adopted James as her new parent and the rambunctious dog was renamed "Crazy" by him. (I think he means it in an endearing way?). Anyway, we were very happy w/ James and all not hesitate to used him again!
As always, James provided Ava with great care and an excellent experience. He is a great communicator and his advice has helped me tremendously! He is absolutely reliable, trustworthy, and a pro at what he does. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

James stayed with our dog over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were very appreciative of his help. We would request James again.
