I have my super friendly boy Benji to keep your pup company. I live on a permanently moored widebeam houseboat with garden and decking area. Getting on and off is easy but I always take extra care with the dogs. The garden is secure and I’m in the perfect location for amazing walks in every direction from Hertford lock.

Given I live in a houseboat it’s important that your dog is able to swim. It’s a spacious boat but only good for small to medium size dogs
A typical day
I typically take Benji out for 3 walks a day, two of which are nice and long. We are blessed with the most amazing location to go on the best walks without having to encounter roads in all directions. Back at home it’s a very relaxed environment, with lots of snuggles and playtime.

Many years of looking after my own (currently have my little boy Benji who is great with other dogs) and other people’s dogs, as well as volunteering with rescue dogs at a shelter abroad.

I am so relieved to have found James to look after my Jack Russell, Jasper, for me. James is a very calm and gentle person and was amazing with Jasper. He also looked after the house beautifully and kept it pristine. My tomatoes were lovingly watered and are thriving too. Travelling next time will not be stressful knowing that I can count on James.
James was great, I felt very confident leaving Fred in James hands.Shared photos and sent updates, perfect- also picked up when Fred was feeling unsure. True dog lover and very nice person 🙂 I wouldn’t not hesitate to use James again.
