Because we both work from home full-time, your dog will never be left alone for long stretches. We have a wonderfully structured daily rhythm that keeps our dogs content, relaxed, and well-behaved: 7:00 AM: First walk of the day (30 minutes). If the weather permits, we head to the field to throw the ball for Albus. (Houdini remains on an extended lead - for obvious reasons 😂) 7:30 AM: Breakfast time, followed by a morning nap in the kitchen while we log on for work. 11:00 AM: A second 30-minute leg-stretcher walk around the local streets. Afternoon: Plenty of garden breaks for toilet trips and fresh air. 5:30 PM onward: Evening wind-down, dinner, a post-dinner snack, and plenty of sofa cuddles in the front room. Weekends: We love taking advantage of our free time with longer, scenic weekend walks.

Seguridad, confianza y entorno
Because we have our own two dogs, Albus and Houdini, safety and harmony are our top priorities. All introductions start with a mandatory "Meet & Greet" in the days / weeks beforehand to ensure a great fit. Once a guest arrives, initial interactions are strictly supervised. Because we work from home full-time, guest dogs are under our watchful eye throughout the day, ensuring everyone plays nice and respects each other's space. Our home features a fully enclosed garden that we have made 100% escape-proof—a project we took very seriously after adopting our rescue, Houdini, who liked to "wander" early on. Dogs can enjoy the fresh air and toilet breaks safely without any risk of slipping away. We maintain a highly structured routine around food, walks, and rest, which inherently keeps dogs calm and secure. To prevent any resource guarding, dogs are always fed separately and given their treats in designated spaces. While we work, the kitchen serves as a secure, cosy hub for downtime, and we use separate rooms if any pup ever needs a quiet, undisturbed rest or a time-out to decompress. Our upstairs area is a pet-free zone, so we don't have guest dogs sleeping upstairs. Instead, bedtime is fully downstairs: our boys, Albus and Houdini, sleep comfortably in the kitchen in their baskets (or on the sofa), and guest dogs will join them in this secure, cosy downstairs setup for a peaceful night's rest.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
Hi, we’re James and Alice! We understand that leaving your dog with someone else requires a massive amount of trust. As experienced dog owners, our goal is to provide a safe, loving, and reliable "home away from home" where your dog can seamlessly slot into a healthy, happy routine. We share our home with two friendly resident dogs: Albus (a playful 5-year-old Shih Tzu) and Houdini (a sweet, 7-year-old rescue Kokoni who is an absolute lap dog). We are a predominantly adult-only household, meaning our home environment remains calm, predictable, and focused on the dogs. When we first adopted Houdini, he was a bit of a rescue escape artist (hence the name!). Because of this, we took no chances: our secure garden is now completely enclosed and 100% escape-proof. You can rest easy knowing your dog can explore the grass safely and securely. We generally prefer more chilled-out dogs who enjoy a mix of structured walks and relaxing while we work, but we are absolutely happy to welcome higher-energy dogs as long as they are friendly with other pups. Albus loves a good play session, and Houdini is always happy to share the space. Whether your dog wants to fetch a ball, enjoy a structured neighbourhood stroll, or just curl up next to our desks during a meeting, we can't wait to welcome them into the pack!
