As a current dog owner in CHS, I know things can get "hairy" when you need to get away for the weekend (BOOOOO!). That's why my friendly pooch Lexi (she's a loving, rescued redbone mix that LOVES having furry friends around) and I are here for you! As a dog owner vet of 10+ years, I'm well trained in commands, walks, positive reinforcement, and responsibility. I work full time from home in my house in JI, so belly rubs and dog walks in between my conference calls are constant! I work for a large pet food manufacturer so everyone's used to barks on our zoom calls. I tend to take my dog out 3-4 times a day, including around block and to JI county park to walk the trails or do the dog park (if you approve of that). I take responsibility very seriously, and Lexi and I are here to treat your dog like family while you enjoy your time away!

I’m so glad I found James on here when I was looking for “doggy day care”. He and his dog Lexi hung out with my dog Pup for two days and it looks like she felt right at home with them. I already felt super comfortable leaving Pup with him after meeting him but he also sent me updates and pictures through out the day which was great. Pup is just a sweet old lady who loves to bark and nap so I love that she met a similar friend in super chill Lexi, and James!
We needed to leave our 7 month puppy for the first time and James made us feel at ease with so many pictures and updates! I cannot recommend James enough. He truly loves dogs and took our dog on walks and to the dog parks. Not to mention, his dog is amazing with other dogs. Thank you James and Lexi!
We had a sitter cancel last minute due to an emergency and when Rover helped us find someone, James was able to take Charlie. He was so great with our dog. Lots of walks and great communication. Having his dog Lexi there was a play bonus!!!
James (aka Max) has watched my dog, Indy, on multiple occasions now. I can attest that not only is she still alive (bare minimum requirement) but she prefers him to me. Indeed, whenever I pull up to the apartment to drop her off, Indy cannot wait to jump out of the car and greet her "god father" and "preferred best friend" (her words). Furthermore, in every picture I've seen of her during her stays, she seems happier, more fulfilled, and not at all lacking my attention. Clearly she is much better cared for at Max's house than I can possibly provide (again, her words). Highly recommend if you want someone to watch your dog and possibly steal its affections. Cannot recommend if you want to remain first in your dog's heart.
James is a loving, reliable, loyal and all around great person to be around. He himself cares for his pup Lexi in amazing ways. I’d trust him to take care of my dog because he’s never let me down.
Max has been an absolute blessing to me and my golden doodle Bisonte since 2018. Not only is he reliable, but he goes above and beyond every time he watches my pup. I always have peace of mind when Bisonte is with Max. I travel frequently, and on more than one occasion Max has gone out of his way to watch Bisonte at a moment’s notice. Max is active and his pantry is packed full of dog treats, so I am never left wondering if Bisonte is going without or if he is stuck inside. Bisonte and I have adopted Max into our family. 10/10

Schedule
I work from home, so there isn't much unsupervised time. I can take your pet on long morning, afternoon, evening walks, and can hit dog parks and go out for pee breaks as much as needed.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs are allowed on my bed and couch, and can bark at people from my bedroom window below as much as they want. I have a crate if needed, and there is rarely more than ~2 hours away from the dogs unless you request full 24 hour care.
Pets
A typical day
About a 15 min walk and breakfast in the morning around 745/8 but can be flexible depending on your pup's needs. Another walk around 12-1 and then a long ~30 or 40 min walk around 6 before a pee before bed time around 9. JI County Park for long walks. Lots of belly rubs ands pets throughout the day, and the couch and my bed are fair game for naps as I work from home at my desk.
