Specialist greyhound and sighthound care
Pet parent of my greyhound Flash, and friend of many other greyhounds & sighthounds! Experienced and knowledgable with greyhound specific behaviours and needs. I'm a strong believer in encouraging and listening to their subtle communications to do my best to meet their needs so they can be happy and confident dogs.

Wiley can be a bit nervous in new places and struggles to settle but was very happy and content with James. Came home with a sleepy, cuddly boy
Our whippet Mouse is in capable hands with James. He is a caring dog owner himself and takes the time to know the breed and their needs. James clearly loves dogs and sighthounds specifically and Mouse is always very happy to see him!
James is great with dogs! He looks after my greyhound Marble quite often and she absolutely adores him. He is kind, patient and keen to give the dogs the enrichment and attention they need. Having a greyhound himself, he is very aware of their breed-specific needs and quirks so I would recommend him to anyone with a sighthound.

Schedule
Home every day. We usually do a long daily walk in victoria park plus smaller walks in other nearby green spaces. If weather doesn't permit much walking, I have a small garden and a small green space down my road.

Safety, trust & environment
I've a small garden that is fully enclosed. Low glass window/door panes are at least partially obscured/blocked to prevent an unfamiliar dog running through it. Food and water can be provided in elevated or floor level bowls. Multiple rest spots (dog beds, sofas, beds, chairs) and rooms for dogs to find space and comfort. Air Con, cooling mat and fans for hot weather.
Pets
A typical day
We have a flexible schedule but typically start with a long (1-2 hours) walk in Victoria Park in the morning followed by shorter (~30 mins) walks in the afternoon and evening. Home time is mostly for relaxing, with occasional play with toys or treats, and sometimes a nice pizzle/chew/treat.
