Adventurous Dog Dad
I started doing Rover to have friends around for my dog. As he started to age, I quit sitting simply to focus on him. Unfortunately I lost him in spring of 24. I started Rover again just to help with grieving. It's truly been a blessing. I typically don't sit more than one household of dogs at a time simply because I treat them as my own versus 'dog-sitting'. Let me know if you have any questions.

Schedule
I work part-time at home and part-time around the valley. I almost always took my dog to work with me and have a long list of favorite parks, hikes and other special areas that I would regularly stop at during the day. I also have a large doggie door and fenced backyard. I have cameras around the house. I always took my dog out to parks or hikes regularly. Every weekend I always did something outdoors with my dog.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat the dogs I watch as if they were my own. I strongly prefer dogs that are allowed on furniture and 99% of the dogs that stay with me end up sleeping in my king size bed with me! For dogs that need exercise, I strongly prefer dog parks or hikes (preferably off leash) versus dog-walking around the neighborhood.

A typical day
I prefer to take dogs with me everywhere I go. I bought a Prius so I could do this year around (electric AC if/when needed). I spend a lot of time in the mountains including at my trailer on 20 acres at Tollgate during the weekends.

- I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. Due to my lifestyle- Must be dog and human friendly. Off-leash capable (reliable recall) strongly preferred (especially for +medium-sized dogs that need exercise). Smaller lap dogs, I'm much more flexible. I would also prefer they like car/truck rides. I can and will consider exceptions if necessary. Just please message me details. *I often have my 11 year old nephew with me on weekends. He himself is quickly becoming quite the experienced sitter. I have been teaching him the ins and outs for a while. He's excellent with dogs that may not be used to kids, but he is still a kid.
