Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? I learn something new from dogs all the time. Since I was a kid, dogs have always been an integral part of my life. They learn certain things from me and I learn certain things from them. It’s about building trust and the only way you can really do that It’s through respect and patience. It takes time for them to become familiar with me just as it takes time for me to earn their trust. I I know when I’ve earned it when clients tell me that the dogs get excited when they hear my name. Or when I hear that on the way to drop them off, they turn a certain corner, and upon realizing where they are, their dog starts to cry excitedly. That’s because at that moment, they know exactly where they’re going. These are our babies and you don’t want just any stranger to look after them. You want to know that they are happy, healthy, and safe. Not only that, but you want to know that they are behaving themselves and getting along with others. I often tell my clients that it’s my goal and intention to keep them happy, healthy, and safe. So much so that when. You come to pick them up, they’ve had so much fun that I’ve tuckered them out, allowing you to have an extra day to take care of everything you need to. UPDATE: For the time being, as of 10/1/26, I will unfortunately not be taking on any new clients. Existing clients are more than welcome to request services and I will do what I can to accommodate you as best I can.

James always takes great care of our dog Bella and is wonderful to visit.
As usual James is the best person to take care of Cookie when we are away. He really loves and cares for all the dogs that are under his care. Cookie is always happy and well looked after when she is with him. We leave her at time for more than 2 weeks when we are away on international trips and she is good with James. We highly recommend James as a home for your fur babies when you travel.
James was wonderful! We are so thankful he took good care of our German Shepherd/ Huskie mix. We really appreciate the pre- stay visit, flexibility with the pick up time and honest and entertaining communication during our vacation. Thank you, James, for taking great care of our baby Tahoe!
James is an incredible dog sitter! He is very careful about the dynamics between dogs, and manages a group with ease. He sent two hilarious(!) AI videos of our two dogs telling us how their stay was going. The dogs came back clean and happy. They had Easter bandanas on, and were exhausted by the fun stay with new friends. I could not recommend James enough- he really made the occassion joyful!
Our dog Cookie is very well look after by James. James really loves dogs and looks after all his dogs well. We highly recommend James. He even has gifts and stockings for each dog he looks afret over Christmas break. He sends good photos and videos over the stay which helps to see how your dog is doing over the stay. All in all the best care for our Cookie as we travel internationally.

I live in Mountain View. Born and raised here in the Bay Area, I remember what the good old days were like. Long gone are the days where orchards were everywhere and people actually had backyards……or are they!? Yes, pretty much. BUT they’re not all gone. There is still one in Mountain View and I happen to be living at it. Not only am I conveniently located, I have a spacious backyard that is completely fenced in. In addition to that, I also have an orchard that I have cleaned up which extends the area and allows dogs to run further and faster in the open air.

A typical day
I have a spacious backyard and orchard with lots of trees. Lots of trees of course means lots of squirrels to chase as they jump from tree to tree or run along the fence. The orchard is often tilled which softens the dirt making it softer for the dogs to run on and they love digging in the upturned soil.

- I think it’s important to understand temperament. Especially around other dogs. I would like to know that they are housetrained. If they have any medical issues and; if so, the medication they may be taking along with instruction and contact information for their veterinarian. If they have special dietary needs. What the rules are at home regarding furniture or any commands they should be given.
