Hi, I'm James – I've lived with dogs and cats since childhood, and I have a keen, discerning sense of how they behave and what they need. As importantly, I know how to tell when they're in solo mode and just need space. My work in university student services requires me to be sensitive to nuances and slight changes in individuals and complex systems. I participate in mental health first aid teams at large events, and I volunteer 16 hours per month as an on-call victims services provider at my university. All of this to say: I'm empathetic, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I will bring all of those skills to taking care of your four-legged loved ones. I have been the steward of several animals over the years, but at present, I have two Border Collies. Gus is ten years old, and JoJo just had her first birthday. We keep talking about getting a cat, but right now we're contending with the puppy's recent diagnosis of protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). She's eating special food and getting lots of attention, to make sure she's staying healthy. On that note, I am willing to work with my clients on the types and pricing of services that I offer for unique needs. Does your pet need special attention, a longer than default drop-in visit, etc.?
