A lifelong animal lover, I’ve had 16 Labradors over the years and have regularly dog-sat for two close friends for the past two and a half years. I’m experienced, reliable and caring, and very comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities, as well as animals in general.

I’m very caring and attentive around animals, and when a pet is in my care, they are my number one priority. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable and relaxed, while closely following their usual routine, feeding, walks and any specific instructions from their owner.

I cannot recommend James highly enough as a dog sitter and walker. As a dog owner, finding someone you can trust with your pet is incredibly important, and James has consistently exceeded my expectations. My dog, Chewie, absolutely loves spending time with him. From the moment they met, it was clear that James genuinely cares about animals and treats them as if they were his own. Whether it's a daily walk, overnight care, or simply spending time with Chewie while I'm away, I have complete confidence that he is in safe and caring hands. What sets James apart is not only the quality of care he provides, but also the level of customer service. He is reliable, responsive, communicative, and proactive in providing updates, which gives me enormous peace of mind. I always know how Chewie is doing, and it's obvious from Chewie's excitement whenever he sees James that he feels comfortable, happy, and loved in his care. Beyond being an excellent dog sitter and walker, James is simply a great human being. He is kind, thoughtful, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of both pets and their owners. Those qualities are hard to find and are a big part of why I trust him completely. If you're looking for someone in New York who will provide safe, loving, and dependable care for your dog, I would wholeheartedly recommend James. Any pet owner would be fortunate to have him looking after their furry family member.
James was great. Super responsive for a last minute request, took great care of Bruce and left my apartment spotless. Highly recommend.
James has looked after my mini golden doodle a few times and he’s great. Very reliable, loves dogs, gets them to exercise quite a lot and keeps them in a good routine. Highly recommend if you want peace of mind!

Schedule
Caring for pets fits very naturally into my routine. I currently have a very flexible schedule while caring for a family friend, so I can easily accommodate walks, feeding, playtime, companionship and overnight stays when needed.
