Let me know if your pet is potty trained and we can work though it either way. Also let me know your dogs temperament. I'm happy to energy balance the dynamics between dog personalities! If you need your dog to only be around other calm dogs I can arrange that! Or to be a solo sit I can accommodate that as well!

I love to play tug of war. Fetch! Belly scratches. Chill times as well! I can meet your dog on their level and learn from them the best way they want to play.

Pet care experience
Hello pet parents! I've been a pet care giver all my life. Through my twenties I was a professional dog walker all over Brooklyn, NY. And now I live in full time in Austin as of 2026. I'm athletic and gentle. I can walk very high-energy dogs and also give care and safety to shy or nervous dogs. I can administer medication to older cats and dogs. All in all I'm a very responsible, clean, kind, and friendly guy from the midwest originally who is a big time dog and cat lover. Would love to offer affordable rates at this point in exchange for good reviews as I reestablish myself in Austin. I have small dog of my own, if you request a house-sit I may need to bring her. She is extremely well behaved and is used to being around other dogs all the time. (I have one notice in my reviews from Rover that I cancelled a sit 4 days before it started. This is not correct. I have a dog Sokka I regularly care for. I love taking care of Sokka. There was a huge snow storm in Brooklyn and the parents asked to cancel due to possible flight delays. It was a non-issue. But for some reason Rover automatically posted a notice.)

I cannot recommend James enough! I’ve never hired a dog walker before and was initially nervous but after meeting James, I definitely felt much less worried. He is punctual, professional, communicative, and sends the best photo updates and notes. It’s clear he truly care about dogs, and I can tell my dog loved him!
James is a reliable dog walker who has come through for me in a pinch. My dog and James seem to work great together and no doubt it's because James understands what dogs need. Would highly recommend!!
