I cannot recommend James highly enough as a pet caregiver. He has been a trusted and important part of my dogs' lives for many years and has consistently provided exceptional care, attention, and love to every pet he has looked after. James helped care for my senior Beagle, Coastie, for many years. As Coastie entered his senior years and required more patience, supervision, and individualized care, James was always attentive to his needs. He took the time to make sure Coastie was comfortable, safe, and well cared for, treating him with incredible compassion and kindness. Coastie lived to be 19½ years old, and I always had complete confidence and peace of mind knowing James was caring for him. James has also helped care for my two Labrador Retrievers, Todd (3) and Tucker (2), since I brought Todd home at just six weeks old. He has been involved throughout every stage of their lives, from puppyhood through adulthood. He helped establish routines, reinforce training, provide daily exercise, and ensure they grew into happy, well-socialized dogs. Because he has been involved in their care from the very beginning, he knows their personalities, energy levels, preferences, and individual needs better than almost anyone. Whether it is feeding them, exercising them, playing fetch, going on walks, reinforcing routines, or simply spending quality time with them, James always goes above and beyond to ensure they are happy, healthy, and well cared for. One of the biggest indicators of his ability as a caregiver is how my dogs react when they see him. Todd and Tucker are genuinely excited whenever he is around and immediately seek out his attention. As any dog owner knows, animals are excellent judges of character, and the trust and affection they have for James speaks volumes about the care he provides. In addition to caring for my dogs, James has helped care for several friends' dogs over the years. He helped raise and care for a Golden Retriever from puppyhood into adulthood and has also cared for a female Chocolate Labrador from the time she was a puppy. When she was just five months old, she suffered a serious accident after jumping from a moving vehicle, resulting in a broken hip and leg that required major surgery. During her recovery, James helped provide the attentive care, supervision, patience, and support she needed while healing. His ability to care for a young dog recovering from such a significant injury speaks volumes about his responsibility, compassion, and commitment to animal welfare. James has also assisted in caring for two Labradoodles, each weighing well over 120 pounds, from approximately ages four through seven. His experience with large, strong dogs demonstrates his confidence, reliability, and ability to safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments. What stands out most about James is that he genuinely loves animals. He doesn't simply meet their basic needs, he builds relationships with them. He takes the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, routines, and quirks so they feel comfortable, secure, and loved while in his care. He is attentive, patient, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pet's well-being. James is responsible, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator. He pays attention to details, follows care instructions carefully, and treats every pet as if they were his own. I have trusted him with my pets countless times over the years without hesitation, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any pet parent looking for someone who will provide safe, loving, and exceptional care for their animals.
