Hi there! My name is Jalene, and I’m a dedicated pet sitter based in Cranford, New Jersey. If you’re looking for someone caring, dependable, and experienced to look after your cats or dogs, I’d love to help. I have 2 years of professional experience in animal care, along with a lifetime of hands-on experience as a pet owner myself. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely love, and I take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every pet in my care. Throughout my experience working in animal care facilities, my responsibilities included feeding, walking, grooming, assisting with medication administration, monitoring behavior, and providing plenty of companionship and attention. I’ve worked with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments — from energetic 6-month-old puppies to senior dogs over 15 years old. I’m also comfortable accommodating special diets, unique routines, and detailed care instructions to make sure each pet feels as comfortable and cared for as possible. At times, I handled and cared for over 80 dogs within the facility, which taught me how to stay attentive, organized, and calm in fast-paced environments. Additional responsibilities included maintaining a clean and sanitary space through daily laundry, dishes, and overall facility upkeep. In emergency situations, I’ve been trained to respond appropriately and prioritize the safety of every animal in my care. In May 2022, I received my Pet CPR & First Aid Certification through Paws N Claws 911. My training included identifying signs of illness or distress, cleaning minor wounds, and responding effectively during urgent situations. Whether you need dog walking, overnight care, drop-in visits, or simply someone to give your pets extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m here to help. I also have four pets of my own, so I completely understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your animals like family.
