Availability

We both work from home with flexibility and constant presence throughout the day from at least one of us. For us, this is a hobby, not a business, so we limit our Rover pups to 2 (usually 1) so we can give them all the attention and love that our 2 pups get while still being able to focus at work (that means 4 dogs max at 1 time). While this means the highest quality care for your fur baby, it also means we can book up quickly (but not always). Please plan ahead where you’re able ◡̈ Always feel free to inquire on our availability. When we’re hosting, we’re rarely both gone for more than a couple of hours (errands). If we have an event scheduled for longer than that (like a concert; never more than 6-7 hrs), we will confirm with the owner if that’s ok before the booking. Sometimes we block off a random day due to a concert, etc., but if your pup is ok alone for that rare extended period (6-7 hr) then the stay would work just fine, just ask! We walk often around the parks near our house (every day on summer mornings) and fetch in the backyard on our 70ft artificial turf dog run! We can feed, play, and potty on practically any required schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

On nice days, we often leave the back door open so the pups can come and go in the fenced backyard as they please (unless otherwise advised). We keep an eye on to determine how much supervision they need. You can also communicate your preference and we will supervise accordingly. We’re happy to crate your pup as instructed (we don't crate ours), we always separate for feeding, and more as required. Too good to be true, you say? Here's some things we like to get out of the way up front 😝: We don’t allow our pups on furniture without an invite and a “dog sheet/blanket.” If you’re pup usually takes to the couch, it's not a problem - once we “catch” them we will simply ask them to hop off and sometimes they just look too dang comfy to disturb. We know it comes with the territory of dog sitting and that it’s our expectation to gently manage. It’s mostly to limit fur and debris. Despite the dog traffic, we keep a clean home. We have lots of dog beds to give them alternatives, while also encouraging you to bring your own (for boarding), and we often lay with them on our area rugs in front of the fire while watching tv or reading. No shortage of snuggles here. We hope this is an acceptable compromise! Our home has wood/tile floors throughout. We ask that our visiting pups are potty trained and decently mannered. High energy and excitement is completely fine! Even the meet-n-greet hackles don't worry us. Our own dogs get very excited about new visitors. The first five minutes can be quite noisy (but harmless) 😅 before they chill out. We’ve faced unexpected (by both us and owners) damage primarily to scratches on doors. Excitement is totally fine, but they must be non-destructive to furniture and doors (gentle potty notifications ok (though we let them out all the time), and must be okay with being around 2 female dogs. Replacing a glass door or furniture is costly and would offset months and months of profits from watching pups. If that happens, it would make it very hard for us to continue offering our services. We really appreciate your understanding that we're not a Rover house, but a house with Rovers! So far, we’ve met just one or two large, dominant females (80lbs+) that have clashed with ours but have gotten along with males of all sizes so far. If your large female is easygoing or submissive, we're confident they’ll fit in! We require a meet-n-greet to confirm compatibility.

Information Jake & Cheyenne F. would like to know about your pet

We welcome any pup that is potty trained. Any breed except Rottweilers are welcome at this time (There’s some history there). We can accommodate most any medication or feeding schedule with clear instructions. It would also be helpful to know how much of an escape artist your pup is and any other social or behavioral quirks we should be aware of - flipping food or water bowls, eats foreign objects or critters (like bees), counter surfs, barking at ______, etc. None of those are disqualifies; just determines how we keep an eye on them!

A typical day

We have an incredible surrounding area for walks - 2 parks, side sidewalks, and beautiful greenery. Dog parks are too unpredictable for our taste, so we brought the park to us with our backyard turf fetch run. Our dogs love fetch, but don’t really like to run and play with other dogs much (which means the house stays very calm), but everyone gets plenty of exercise through other means like walks and fetch. If your dog likes fetch, they will be in heaven! Our neighbor next door also has an endlessly energetic pup that plays with anyone and everyone and looks forward to meeting every Rover pups that comes to visit!

WFH couple w/ fenced yard & dog run

Pet care experience

Doggos are life! Don’t stuff your dog in a sitter’s apartment or with 15 other Rover dogs while you’re away. We only host 2 (max) at a time! Give them access to a beautiful home with a fenced backyard and huge trees, an artificial turf dog run, an all-day presence from a work-from-home couple with no kids, regular exercise and engagement, and more! *Please read our profile completely before booking.* WE ARE CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPTING BOOKINGS FROM REPEAT CLIENTS AND REFERRALS AT THIS TIME UNLESS WE REACH OUT TO YOU ON A CARE POST. MAHALO! We’re obsessed with our rescues and can’t imagine a home without dogs in it. We both work from home full-time and want to make ourselves available to others who don’t have that luxury. This means your pup will never be alone for more than a few hours (typical errands / dinner date night). It also means daily 1:1 or small-group exercise, attention, and treats as instructed without getting nickeled and dimed at a kennel. We have plenty of dogsitting experience that includes dietary limitations and medication requirements. We can replicate your home routine.

5/5 every time. Jake and Cheyenne are so kind, loving, and communicative. We've had bad experiences with other rovers and boarders in the past, but Ruca runs into their house tail wagging and plays all weekend. Very grateful to have found them!

Jake and Cheyenne are the best! We’ve trusted them with our dog many times and will continue to in the future. They create a safe environment for dogs to play and always send multiple photos and videos throughout the stay. Highly recommend!
