Experienced care in a loving home!
Hello! I am a fellow dog owner and dog lover. I have over 15 years experience as a professional service dog trainer. My family and I currently own 2 small standard poodles. Our dogs (and those who stay with us) are considered to be members of the family, and as such, enjoy all of the comforts of a loving home. We are a young family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) and we love spending time outdoors and having adventures. I often miss my dog handling days, so I would love to get my dog fix through dog walking and pet sitting services. I will occasionally need to bring my children with me for drop-in visits and walks, so animals would need to be child friendly. I am able to adapt my handling style to the needs of individual dogs or by the request of owners. I am familiar with most training aids and training styles and I can easily maintain your current training and/or work on basic skills. I can provide both on and off leash dog walks depending on your location/preference. I am also a certified groomer with a wide variety of experience. I have fun grooming my dogs, and welcome other grooming requests from clients.

Our dog is very happy to stay with Jamie. Lots of companionship - canine and human - and lots of fun outdoors. Jamie is great at keeping in communication with videos and updates.

Communication from Jamie was excellent. When plans changed slightly she was flexible with us. Her family embraced Toby and he enjoyed cuddles and family fun in the snow! I would recommend Jamie to care for your fur babies!

Schedule
I'm currently working part-time, between 7-9AM and 2:30-4:30PM (split shifts), but I am otherwise at home and available during the week and on the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a good sized fenced backyard that backs onto a large greenspace with plenty of trails nearby for leashed adventures. Inside my home, dogs have free run of the dining, kitchen and living areas. I prefer dogs to be crated while home alone, for their safety and security. To ensure that your pet is safe and comfortable, communication is key! And I will regularly send photos to keep you updated on our adventures.
Pets
A typical day
I provide daily physical activity, generally in the form of leashed walks through our expansive trail systems, or with trips to local, fenced, off-leash areas -depending on your preference. Because I am home during the day, dogs that board with me will have plenty of one-on-one time!
