Hi, I’m Jahari — a full-time college student with real-world animal care experience, both in and out of the clinic. I currently work at a veterinary office and volunteer at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, so animal care isn’t just a side gig — it’s a passion deeply rooted in my everyday life. With 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 birds of my own, I understand how important trust, patience, and personalized care are. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy, a shy senior cat, or a talkative parakeet, I adapt to every pet’s unique needs and personality. I’ve also cared for exotics and farm animals, including goats, chickens, and reptiles — so if your fur baby has feathers, scales, or hooves, they’re in experienced hands.

I prefer to care for pets in their own home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s usual routine — from feeding and walks to playtime and medication — and tailor my care to their unique personality. With experience in a veterinary office, volunteering at Loggerhead, and caring for a wide range of animals (including dogs, cats, birds, goats, and more), I provide calm, reliable, and compassionate care that helps pets feel safe while you’re away.

Did not feed wet food, did not clean litter box even once. did not leave enough dry food for the full day i was traveling back. not reliable at all. do not hire.
Jahari was wonderful with my special needs dog, Costi. Costi has a lot of anxiety especially with new people and Jahari was so kind and calm with her. She stayed overnight at my house when I was in a pinch and had to go away last minute. She sent a lot of picture and text updates so I never had to worry or wonder if everything was ok. I will definitely be using Jahari again. 10/10 recommend!

Jahari is a responsible, intelligent and caring individual who goes out of her way to help and uplift others. This is especially true when she is caring for animals. She volunteers at a local turtle rehabilitation center and has worked in multiple veterinary clinics working with all kinds of pets. Her dedication to animals is remarkable and makes her truly one of a kind! There is no other person I would trust to love and care for my pet better than Jahari.

As a full-time college student and current veterinary office employee, I’ve built a schedule that balances academic goals with my passion for animal care. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine, with early mornings, evenings, and weekends available for drop-in visits, walks, overnights, and even farm animal care. I also volunteer at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, so working with animals is not just a job — it’s part of my everyday life. With flexible class blocks and experience managing time across multiple responsibilities, I’m able to provide dependable, compassionate care without compromising the attention each pet deserves.
