I work a lot, my schedule is a little all over the place but I am usually home most of the day and leave the pets with lots of water. Unfortunately the animals in my house are a little greedy, so they get fed once in the morning and once at night.

We have two cat trees and lots of scratching posts for them. They (of COURSE) prefer climbing our bookshelves instead. I have some plants but keep them in areas they dont have access to. My dog gets two 10-20 minute walks a day and goes to the dog park as much as possible

A typical day
I recently got a laser pointer for my kitties, who are loving it. On my off days, my dog gets 1-2 hours at the dog park, or a little hike depending on how I'm feeling.
