18 Years of Genuine Care and Fun!
Hi, I’m Jade, a PNW based pet care professional with over 18 years of experience in several areas of animal care, such as pet sitting, grooming, and working at a seeing-eye-dog facility. *I am moving out of Seattle in November which is why I have limited calendar availability at the moment.* I offer dog walking, animal sitting, and check-ins. Born and raised in WA state, I have a deep love for animals and the outdoors. Some of the more exotic sits I’ve done have been with ferrets, snakes, and I cared for a 4 horse barn for a week. Reach out to me with your needs, I’m sure I can make it happen! *I am a student and also a part time restaurant worker! I cannot stay with your animals full time. I work about 30 hours on average weekly besides pet sitting. If you have animals that are lowkey and just need someone to stay overnight with them and check on them, I’m your girl. Please refrain from booking if your animal cannot be alone for 8+ hours. I do not make my schedule but I will try my hardest to work around it. My schedule changes weekly. I am able to provide my schedule 2 weeks in advance so you can know when I’ll be gone. Since childhood, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to horses and exotic pets. My experience includes working at a seeing-eye-dog facility, PetSmart, and City Dogs Grooming, where I gained valuable skills in training, health, grooming, and pet care. I’m well versed in handling pets with diverse needs, from young puppies to elderly animals requiring special care. I first became a dog sitter when I was 12 years old, letting my neighbors dogs out and feeding them while they were away. I have always been responsible and conscientious. I have cared for animals all the way from British Columbia, Canada to Tacoma, Washington and everywhere in-between. I take pride in offering detail oriented service, ensuring pets are well cared for, from fresh meals to exercise and medication administration. Safety is my top priority, and I maintain a perfect track record with pet safety and well-being. I also provide regular updates, including pictures, to keep you informed and at ease while you’re away. ~ Why choose me? - 18+ years of professional experience - Trained in dog grooming, nutrition, and care for various pets - Reliable, responsible, and communicative (plus lots of photos and even videos if you’d like!) As a pet parent myself who has also used Rover, I understand the anxiety we feel when we have to leave our babies in someone’s care, and I ALWAYS go the extra mile to ensure everyone is comfortable, happy and stress free. I never do the bare minimum and constantly go above and beyond, it’s just in my nature. Whether it’s daily walks or extended stays, I’ll ensure your pets are happy, healthy, and safe. Let’s connect and discuss how I can help care for your animal family! * PLEASE do not request a booking if your animal has EVER in its lifetime shown aggression towards humans in any form: snarling, barking, and especially biting as I have been attacked by a client’s dog before and need to be more careful for my safety going forward. Please just do not even consider requesting a booking because I will have to deny it and it lowers my acceptance rate. Thank you so so much for your understanding, and I know there are other sitters out there who do accept fearful or aggressive animals.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very conscientious about safety and wellbeing. I am always cautiously watching out for both mine and your animal’s health so we are able to stay healthy while you are away. I always make sure your baby feels at home and comfortable with me. My goal is to ensure they are so happy and having so much fun that they won’t have time to miss their pet parents too much.
Ratings and reviews
Jade is amazing! She genuinely enjoyed spending time with our cat. Our cat tends toward anxiety, but from the photos Jade sent and from our cat's demeanor when we got home, it was clear she felt so safe and comfortable with Jade. Jade went above and beyond, even disposing of the Litter Genie waste and even taking out the trash, which we were not expecting. And we came home to a gift of coffee beans from her workplace! What an absolute gem! 💎🌟💖

Jade was amazing--she instantly clicked with Ellie and was able to make her feel comfortable right away. She communicated regularly and sent lots of pictures while I was gone. I could tell Ellie loved her time with Jade and that she was taken great care of for the weekend. I would definitely have Jade watch Ellie again!

Jade is the best!

We have a senior dog nearing 16 who is the sweetest little guy but quirky and likes his routine and does better staying home. Jade was fabulous. She asked all the right questions and was super communicative, sent lots of pictures,, and was a great at-home companion for him. And my house was clean (probably cleaner than when we left), which I so appreciate! We will for sure rebook with her in the future.
My cat was sick when I left for the weekend and when I came back he was healthy. Not saying that Jade magically cured him but I am not ruling it out!

Jade is the best!

Schedule
I’m in school full time online as well as working ~30 hrs a week out of the home. I am able to check in with your animals as much as possible between work and classes! My schedule on a pet sitting week usually looks like this: 1. Feed / water animals first thing in the morning 2. Walks / potty 3. Make sure they are all set up at home and comfortable 4. Go to work 5. Come home, more walks / potty 6. Dinner time / homework for me 7. Playtime / getting our energy out 8. Snuggle the animals (if they like!), sleep, and do it again tomorrow!

- First things first, what is your dog's daily schedule? Staying within their habits helps them to transition into different guardianship easier. Dogs love routines so I will do my best to mold mine around yours! I love all breeds. I have babysit many types of dogs: small, large, elderly, puppies, energetic, lazy, you name it! I adjust my care style to your pet’s needs and habits. I have experience with a very broad range of animals, large and small, and I am comfortable in any setting. I have the confidence and strength to handle large animals yet I am soft spoken and gentle with your shy babies! I can (almost always) read your animal very well and can detect how they feel about me and their surroundings, which is very important. I would like to know of any allergies, specific food requirements, medications and health history. I do not have a preference for breed as I love them all! My family constantly jokes that I have a gift of knowing every dog breed that I see. I would like to get to know the dog briefly before sitting as I feel its important for them to get used to me before completely being in my care. Most dogs are food motivated (not all) so I will ask what type of treat you use for obedience training, which I think is the first step in getting to know a dog and ensuring they can listen to me, especially before leaving their own home territory :) If positive reinforcement is your thing, great! If you have another method, please do let me know, so I can adjust based on yours and your dogs' preferences. I would also like to know about ANY experiences in the past with walking or sitting by others, family, friends, or strangers, and how they behave when they are away from their parents. Please be open and honest with me about what kind of experience they've had with other people. This helps me get to know them fully so I can cater to them. I also have been put in situations with aggressive dogs, and if I had been warned ahead of time, I could have been a little more prepared. Just let me know!:) If this is their first time, I will work slowly and cater to their needs. I’m always up early and home every evening so I can ensure farm animals are safe and everyone is fed at the right times, based on their previously set schedule. For grooming, I have some supplies, or I can take them to a walk-in doggy grooming care for a little extra cost. I am a certified dog bather with Petsmart, and although I do not work there anymore, I have 2 years of professional grooming experience that is very helpful with my pet clients. If you'd like your pet to be clean when you get home, ask about the add-on discount on grooming for booking with me :) I always try to maximize yours and your dog's experience.
