Loving Home from Home experience
I’m Jade, I’m 30 and I have been fortunate to be surrounded by dogs since the age of 8. I am a registered mental health nurse, married, and own a beautiful Beagle of my own. I have always loved to be around dogs and have grown up in a family in which have always had a family dog. Myself and my Husband welcomed our boy Hugo into our lives in Jan 2020 and he changed our life for the better. I have also been taking care of different dogs for family and close friends on an adhoc basis for over 4 years and I now wish to expand that to the rover community. My Husband Jordan also works within Mental Health services. We share the same passion for dogs and our Rover journey is a team effort with both of us involved in the care of any dogs boarding with us to enable us to give the best home to home experience possible. Every dog that comes to our house is treated as if they were my own and I’ll always try and do meet and greets prior to bookings to ensure a good fit and to ensure the owner has confidence in leaving their dog with me.

We had a trial overnight stay for our 8 1/2 mth old minature schnauzer which we mutually agreed would not work so we collected him after 3 hours. Rudi is a hormonal male that their beagle would not tolerate. BUT EVEN WITHOUT THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE USED THEM. AS THE DOG WALKING DOES NOT OCCUR UNTIL 17.30 FOR 2 HOURS. THERE IS ACCESS TO THE GARDEN ,(ASTRO TURF) FOR THE REST OF THE DAY ONLY.Jordan works from home so we had wrongly assumed that he would offer an am and afternoon walk. But he said that he shuts himself in the kitchen all day. This for is is NOT SUITABLE. Rudi does not, like many dogs use his garden as a toilet and he would have been a very active young dog if he had no am walk which would not have sorted either Jordan or their dog.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Raffy obviously loved his time with Hugo. Jade updated me with pictures & a video which is always reassuring. Thank you again for taking good care of our boy. X
Jade and Jordan were fantastic dog sitters for our beagle Ronnie, friendly, trustworthy and understanding of our cheeky dogs ‘quirks’! We were kept updated with regular photos and messages during his stay and could see he was having the time of his life with them and their pup Hugo. We’d definitely book Ronnie in again for future stays and highly recommend them.
Couldn't have asked for a better couple to look after our cavapoo during our wedding. Jade and her husband Jordan made me feel so reassured, welcomed Holly into their home and gave her a fantastic weekend. Hugo, their basset, is Holly's best friend for ever now. We have regular updates dying beach walks and playtime which made us all smile and added to our memories of our wedding day. Thank you so much again Jade and Jordan ?
I feel a little emotional reviewing Sprockets first time away from us since we rehomed him 4 years ago, but, through Rover, we have found such a wonderful carer for our beautiful boy. Jade and her husband are the sweetest, loveliest people, they completely took on all our worries and spent the 2 days reassuring us with so many photos and messages. It helped us and our son who was so nervous about leaving him. Sprocket made good friends with Hugo their dog, he is the lovliest dog with a funny and kind nature, I think Sprocket is still missing him two days after we picked him up. It was also sprockets birthday and they held a little tea party for him :) I cant thnak you enough Jade, we cant wait to book in again xxx
Jade was very friendly and supportive and Eddie and Joey very well looked after during their stay. Even when my puppy Joey had a number of accidents in the house they took it in their stride without a fuss. Dogs got walks on the beach each day and they came back happy and ready for bed! I can thoroughly recommend!

Schedule
I’m currently working full time hours, Monday to Friday 9-5. Evenings are spent walking Hugo and weekends always revolve around what and where we will be walking Hugo too! My Husband works from home Monday to Friday 9-5 so he will always be at home so no dog will ever be alone or unaccompanied.

We own a detached house with a fully secure garden with fencing at approx 6ft tall all around. Pets are encouraged to make our home feel like their home, to make sure they are comfortable and have the best stay possible. I will happily cater to each individuals dogs need. I have crates available to use for puppies or dogs that prefer to be in a crate.

A typical day
A typical day for us would entail lots of games, stimulation, playing with my dog and walks around the local coastline, beaches and country side that Devon has to offer. I take Hugo for one walk a day for at least an hour. I usually will take him to either the beach, the woods or the country park right next to my house. I have a good sized back garden with plenty of room to run around and play. Hugo is very playful and spends most of his day running around the garden.
