I have a lifetime of experience with dogs and have grown up caring for a wide variety of breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with Labradors, German Shepherds, Cocker Spaniels, Jack Russell Terriers, Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus and other mixed and crossbreeds. I currently have my own much-loved Sprocker Spaniel, Bunty, which has given me particularly strong experience with energetic and intelligent working breeds. I understand the importance of appropriate exercise, enrichment, routine and mental stimulation, as well as recognising and respecting a dog’s individual body language and boundaries. I also have experience with reactive dogs and understand that not every dog wants to interact with other dogs or people. I’m confident following an owner’s usual management strategies, recognising triggers and adapting walks and activities to help dogs feel comfortable and secure. My experience ranges from young puppies through to senior dogs, including older dogs who may need a gentler pace, shorter walks, more rest and additional patience. I’m comfortable allowing nervous or unsure dogs to build trust with me in their own time rather than forcing interaction. Professionally, I work with children and young people, where safeguarding, responsibility, patience, reliability and attention to detail are essential. I bring the same approach to pet care and understand the level of trust involved when someone places both their much-loved pet and their home in my care. Every dog is different, and I take the time to understand their individual personality, routine and preferences so that the care I provide feels as familiar and comfortable as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort and wellbeing are always my priority. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and take the time to understand your pet’s usual routine, personality, boundaries and any triggers or behaviours I should be aware of. I’m comfortable caring for nervous, reactive and senior dogs and will always respect what an individual animal is communicating rather than forcing interaction. When walking dogs, I follow the owner’s usual arrangements regarding leads, harnesses, interactions with other dogs and suitable walking environments. I will never let a dog off lead unless this has been specifically discussed and agreed beforehand. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their environment and routine as familiar as possible. I’m respectful of your home, careful with doors, gates and security, and will make sure your pet is safe and settled whenever I leave. I’m also happy to arrange a meet and greet before a booking. This gives you the opportunity to show me your pet’s routine and gives them the chance to meet me in a relaxed, familiar environment. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your booking, and if I ever have any concerns about your pet’s health, behaviour or wellbeing, I will contact you promptly. Above all, I want you to feel confident that your pet is being cared for by someone who will treat them with patience, kindness and respect while you’re away. 🐾

Jade looked after my little dog at my house for 5 days while I was on holiday. Marnie is nearly 14 & is not used to being away from me. I need not have worried. Jade was amazing! She sent me daily updates with wonderful photos of Marnie who I could tell was vey relaxed & happy which meant I could relax & enjoy my holiday. Jade left my house immaculate & even watered my plants for which I was very grateful. I feel very lucky to have had Jade for my sitter. Jade looked after our puppy for the first time this evening, she sent photo's and videos along with messages to let us know he was OK and being well looked after. We couldn't have been happier with the care Jade provided for our cat and dog while we were away. From the very beginning, she was reliable, professional, and clearly passionate about animals. Our dog absolutely adored her, and even our cat, who can be quite selective about people, was relaxed and content in her care. Schedule
I work a varied and flexible schedule, which makes pet sitting fit well around my existing commitments. During term time, I generally work between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, but my working day is usually split into shorter appointments of around two hours rather than one continuous shift. This means I can often return to pets between commitments for company, toilet breaks, feeding or walks. My availability is more flexible during evenings, weekends and school holidays. Before accepting any booking, I will always discuss your pet’s normal routine, how long they are comfortable being left alone and any specific requirements they have. I will only accept a booking when I’m confident my schedule is suitable for your pet and I can provide the level of care and company they need. I’m happy to work around established feeding times, walks, medication, bedtime routines and other important parts of your pet’s day wherever possible. 🐾
