I am delighted to join the Rover community as I want to share my love of and experience with dogs and help you with your lovely canine family members. I am very proud to describe myself as a mad dog lady: I have had my own dogs for over 24 years and grew up with dogs throughout my childhood. I have taken care of many dogs – from puppies to the elderly – and have experience in administering medication, should the need arise. We currently have a 6-year-old male (intact) Tibetan Terrier, Barney, having lost my beautiful Large Münsterlander nearly 4 years ago. We all miss having two dogs in the house (particularly Barney) and so I have decided to open my home to care for other dogs. We live in Ringland and have a large fully enclosed back garden and access to wonderful rural walks. My husband and I are retired but very active, and Barney gets at least two 40-minute walks a day (from the door – no need for car journeys), as well as lots of attention during the day. We would be delighted to host well-behaved, fully house trained, small to medium sized dogs (up to Red Setter, Golden Retriever, Labrador size) BUT they must get on with Barney. He is very friendly and very dog-motivated, but it will be necessary to have a meet and greet with Barney before agreeing terms.
