Safety, trust & environment
My yard is fenced in with tons of toys to play with a Golden Retriever to help socialize your pet. I also can care for pets at their homes if the pet is more comfortable there and if scheduling allows. I think meet and greets are essential to not only make the pet parents feel comfortable to see if it’s a good fit, but I think it’s an even bigger deal for the dog. They can sniff around the environment and get familiar with our dog as well as be familiar with our home during their stay. I am able to accept doggies who have completed a meet and greet first for several reasons. I believe dogs are sweet living beings. I feel pet owners can make the time to research a good fit for their pet. I don’t like the idea of dogs just being dropped off and then feel scared or anxious during their stay. If they don’t have the space to be able to feel comfortable in a space then they might just feel like they are being left there. I understand last minute situations and emergencies, but I personally feel both parties should feel comfortable before committing and signing off on a stay. Some people could just accept every stay without any expectations, but I personally just don’t feel it’s setting up the dog for as successful and comfortable stay as it could be. I am also huge on safety and supervision. There is always someone here and if we are not here all dogs including ours would need to be in a kennel if they are unable to be supervised.

Information Jacquelynn Z. would like to know about your pet
I would love to do a meet and greet with pet parent’s and their fur babies beforehand to make sure it is a good fit for all parties. If there is a known aggression issue that could be problematic and would want to make sure everyone feels safe. I would want to know if your dog is okay with a high energy dog. It is okay if they are a senior dog just as long as they are okay with being around a high energy dog. I would like to know if there are any medications that need to be administered and/or any allergies. If they have any favorite toys or treats I would like to know that too so I can spoil them.
A typical day
Every morning Sasha and her dog friend visitors have breakfast. They will they have access to the yard as much as they want. Typically if Tim or I see a dog close to the backyard door we let them out whenever they want. Sasha and other dogs play fetch throughout the day indoors and outdoors. Starting in May I usually bring the doggie pool out so her and other dogs can cool off. Tim and I stimulate them with toys they can play with in the water and supplement additional chew toys and puzzles. If there are particular toys they prefer I like to have them available throughout the day.

Reviews

Kora had a great time and was well cared for by Jacquelyn and her fur baby Sacha. We'll be back for sure!

Jacquelynn is truly AMAZING! My dogs love being at her house. She is communicative, sends cute pics the whole time, and my dogs come home so happy! You can rest assured she will truly love your dogs like her own. I cannot recommend her enough.

We had such a great experience! She took amazing care of my dog and kept me updated with photos and messages, which I really appreciated. My dog was happy, comfortable, and clearly well loved. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog with her and would 100% book again. Highly recommend!

Jacquelynn and Tom were fantastic caretakers. My pooch took over their laps during their stay and I am happy to leave my buddy with them again.
