I will care for your dog's in your home per your instructions. I don't like to do things with pets that the parents aren't comfortable with. If the day is too hot for walking on pavement we might just play in the back yard instead. I want to be mindful of all needs and care your your pet with your plan in mind.

Information Jacquelyn "Jax" B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs, favorite toys, or activities in advance. I am happy to administer medication as long as they aren't aggressive about application. I have had to find many a tricky way to give meds with my own dogs so I can work with you on getting creative if we need. But I want to know what your dog likes and do all the fun things with them that they like while I am there.
A typical day
I like to accommodate the personality of the dog I am with. I am a big believer that a well excersized dog is easier to train, well behaved and more content. Pets love engagement so I usually always start with walking, or a good fetch session...or playing with their favorite toy. I also love to give reward, treats and snacks after a visit.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Jax, and I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life. My first dog, Rex (Choco Lab mix), was a sweet boy and the love of my life. Rex was my first rescue pup and came with complex medical needs, and through him I learned how to administer medications, give injections, and support special needs dogs with patience and love. My current dog, Valkyrie (Presa Canario/Lab mix), is a 7-year-old, 80-pound athletic bully breed who’s full of energy and heart. She’s taught me the importance of daily exercise for managing anxiety, burning energy, and keeping dogs mentally sharp. I understand the unique challenges—and the joy—that come with different breeds and temperaments. I love finding creative ways to care for each dog as an individual, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and engaged while giving you peace of mind.
Reviews

Jax provided fabulous loving and care to Ziggy during his stay!!!

Highly recommend Jacquelyn! My dog looked so comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. The updates were funny and always brought a smile to my face, and it was clear he was treated like family. Would rebook again!

I was dealing with a medical crisis when I made my first booking with Rover and their sitter, Jax. Jax jumped right in and coached me through the process so I could get to the hospital. My 2 dogs & 2 indoor feral cats are rescues, seniors and have behavioral and/or medical special needs. The second I walked in the house they were stress-free, so I knew they felt as comfortable and safe as I did with Jax..One of my dogs went outside ears up, tongue out, smiling expecting to find Jax. They went way above and beyond giving me a chance to concentrate on my health.

Jax always takes excellent care of our doodle! He loves her too!!
