After recently graduating with an Economics and Business Administration Major, I recently started a position at an institutional investing company as an analyst. I work 8-4 most days, but have flexibility to come in earlier or at 9! I would love to take care of your furry friends in the morning before work or in the evenings after work! On Fridays, I work remotely and would love to drop in or go for walks mid day!

Safety, trust & environment

In my family home which I just moved from coming to Seattle, I let my dog (Mario) out about once every couple of hours, and feed him meal prepped food for three courses, with medication. Additionally he sleeps in bed with me, and gets plenty of snuggles morning and night especially. When it comes to taking care of your furry friends, I'm happy to accommodate to your style and preferences when caring for your pets. Let me know if you would like them walked on trails or streets, kept within a fenced area, or even if you have specific rules like staying off sofas. Your guidelines provide a sense of continuity and comfort for your pets, and I am committed to maintaining their routines and keeping them in a familiar and secure environment, just like I would want for my little guy. When it comes to overnight care, it's crucial that we establish a good fit between you and me. I want to ensure that your trust in me as a caregiver aligns with my commitment to providing the best care possible for your beloved pets. By having a virtual meeting beforehand, we can discuss your expectations, your pets' needs, and any specific requirements you may have (even if it's quick). This open and transparent communication allows us to ensure that the overnight care arrangement is a comfortable fit and that both you and your pets feel confident and at ease. Rest assured that I am dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and personal experience for your furry friends!

Information Jacquelyn J. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs that I can care for. My dog needs oral medication, and injections, and I am very comfortable with administration. I want to make sure if there are medication administration needs I know exactly how and where to properly administer. Additionally, if your dog is in heat, no problem! I have had plenty of experience with dogs in heat, diaper changes, and care.

A typical day

I love going for walks dependent on the dog’s personality I am hanging out with! For higher energy dogs that can keep up, I love going for trail runs and walks! I ran cross country and long distance track my whole life, so it’s a great way for dogs to stretch their legs and wear out! For our short legged friends, who need a slower pace to accomodate their stride, I love going to parks like Luther Burbank, and getting a nice long walk in with lots of nice greenery to stop and smell! My sweet little dog Mario, at my family home, is 15, blind, deaf and struggles around other dogs. He prefers to be in an environment where we will see as few dogs as possible. For us it’s better to walk in neighbourhoods and avoid parks that might have a lot of dog tractions. One of my favorite long time clients was an American Staffordshire who lived on a steep hill and preferred to live his life laying on his chase lounge looking out at a view! He refused to walk up hill (or down hill), so I drove him to a flat park where he was willing to put the work in! Overall it’s ultimately up to each dog and their personality type! The best thing about our furry friends is they are all unique and have their own interests and personalities. I am happy to accommodate and would love to get to know your friends.

Pet care experience

Hey there! Pets have been an integral part of my life since I was young, and they've truly become my passion. I've been fortunate to have cats, dogs, and fish as beloved members of my family, which ignited my deep love for our furry friends. Over the past 9 years, I've had the opportunity to provide pet sitting services for a diverse range of animals, including cats, dogs, bunnies, fish, gerbils, hamsters, and even frogs. I've encountered pets with various physical and internal health challenges, allowing me to develop expertise in caring for their specific needs. When it comes to size, I've had the pleasure of looking after animals of all sizes, from teacup Chihuahuas to Shepherds and Huskies. I have hands-on experience in administering medication, including insulin shots and pills, as my personal dog requires daily treatment. Additionally, I'm skilled in providing specialized feeding practices and comfortable handling animals with unique circumstances. Whether it's using a walker for hind legs or lifting pets around the house, I am here to ensure my confidence in care. One of the most memorable experiences I've had was providing extensive care for a neighbor's home, children, and pets for over a month during multiple summers. For their pets, it was incredibly rewarding to establish a deep bond while keeping them healthy, happy, safe, and loved. I love bath time, grooming, exercise and walks, and I genuinely enjoy every moment spent with our furry companions. I can't wait to meet your sweetest friends and provide them with the love and attention they deserve! You know when an animal is feeling down, or hasn't been spoiled like they deserve, and I am here to make sure you come home to a sweet, silly, and happy animal. Let's discuss how I can cater to their individual needs and make sure they know how loved and cherished they are.

Jacquelyn took amazing care of our kitty, Oreo!! I was so happy to get updates on how things were going and see all of the adorable pics! She even washed Oreo’s dishes, which was very nice and unexpected. Highly recommend!
