Dogs laugh with their tails!

I’m a lifelong animal lover. If it communicates with its eyes and body I love it! I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, and bearded dragons. I don’t mind dogs in my car and will take them on errands unless it’s hot out. I had a black lab who loved the “chuck it” and beach. I’ve had cats all my life and am fluent in their regal speak “pet me, nope, changed my mind”. I clip front cat claws if requested. I had a free roaming indoor rabbit and am mindful of cords and their delicate digestive tracks. I also send pix to the fur parent often!

Jacqueline recently stayed at our place for two weeks to watch our dog and two cats. Things started off well, but unfortunately there were several issues under her care the last of which involved our puppy ingesting Jacqueline’s medication and being forced to spend a night in the vet ICU. This was after we made clear to restrict his access to things, given his young age. While she handled the ICU situation well, it should have never happened in the first place. She did not take accountability for this and instead blamed our dog, and this of course made the end of our vacation much more stressful. We have used Rover numerous times before and never had an issue. While her communication was clear the whole time, we would not recommend her.

Jacqueline watched my babies and did a great job communicating updates and alerting me of any issues. I would absolutely hire her again to take care of my pug grumble.

First time with Rover and it is easy to use. Jacqueline made our trip all the better as we were not worried about Bentley. House was well looked after. Bentley was a happy dog, he even picked up a new bone and there was just a little of the hard cheese Jacqueline bought for him. If his regular sitter is unavailable again we would definitely use Rover and Jacqueline again. Thank you for make travel a little easier by not worrying about our boy!

Jacqueline was great! She checked in often with texts and pictures. Took Sam for many walks. Loved on my kitty, too. Would highly recommend.

Schedule

I am a student doing online study so I am free to spend oodles of time with your pet when hired. In fact, I find it relaxing. It’s always more fun doing anything with a wagging tail or purring body beside me!

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Jacqueline can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
Does your dog/ cat have any special needs? Allergies? Are they particularly anxious? Phobias? Triggers? Do you have a specific training protocol you’d like me to follow? For example, the dog stops and sits when the walker stops? I’ve done these before and am happy to continue with your pet. Meet and greets are always a good idea to go over these things in person. I do have experience with anxious animals. I am compassionate, patient, move around slowly/ quietly, and will check in with them often if they initially feel the need to hide. Cats aren’t the only animals that can be skittish! <3 Dogs: Is he/ she a loner or do they like to play with other dogs? Leash aggressive? I’m strong and can handle them safely but choose not to walk large leash aggressive dogs; I find it too stressful. Having owned one myself, I know other dog walkers don’t always understand that their dog may be friendly but it is triggering to an anxious pup! I will find other ways to exercise your dog. Cats: I do have experience caring for senior and/or sick cats. One of my senior cats required IV fluids weekly which my vet trained me to administer. If you have a little dog that needs fluids and you show me, I’m sure it’s not very different and I’m comfortable with needles.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
