Pet care experience

Full-Time, Thoughtful Pet Care

Pet care is our full-time profession, not something we fit around another job. Because we are home throughout the day, dogs receive consistent supervision, attention, enrichment, rest, and hands-on care. Our approach is thoughtful and structured, but never one-size-fits-all. Some dogs arrive ready to play. Others need time, space, reassurance, and a slower introduction. We pay attention to body language, energy level, routines, comfort, and behavior so we can adjust care to the dog in front of us. For boarding and daycare, dogs are introduced gradually and are never forced into group play. Our home includes multiple quiet areas, open crates, separate feeding spaces, and comfortable places to rest away from activity. Play is supervised, meals are managed carefully, and downtime is an important part of every dog’s day. Before longer stays, we strongly recommend a meet and greet and, when possible, a short Fit Check visit. This gives your dog an opportunity to become familiar with us, our home, our dogs, and our routine before an overnight stay. We provide enrichment through: • Supervised indoor and outdoor play • Sniffing activities and mental enrichment • Puzzles, Kongs, and age-appropriate activities • Structured movement and individual attention • Scheduled rest and quiet time • Consistent feeding, potty, and bedtime routines We are especially comfortable caring for: • Puppies and young dogs learning routines and house manners • High-energy dogs who need productive outlets and guidance • Senior dogs who need patience, medication support, and extra check-ins • Shy or cautious dogs who need time to become comfortable • Social dogs who enjoy supervised small-group interaction • Dogs who benefit from predictable routines and attentive care Our updates include more than cute photos. We let you know how your dog is eating, sleeping, resting, using the bathroom, socializing, and adjusting to the stay. We believe pet parents deserve honest, useful information about how their dog is actually doing. We also operate a professional pet waste removal service, so cleanliness, sanitation, and yard safety are built into how we care for dogs every day. As empty nesters, our schedule is centered around the pets in our care. Whether your dog is boarding in our home, attending daycare, receiving a walk, or having a drop-in visit, they will be treated as an individual, not simply another dog on the schedule. Our goal is simple: provide a clean, safe, structured, and caring environment where dogs can play, rest, and settle in at their own pace. 💜

Jacqueline and Todd were great! I was gone for a week and during that time they sent many updates and pictures of Chance letting me know how he was doing. They made the extra effort to meet Chance prior to keeping him to make sure there were not any concerns since they were going to have several dogs over the holiday weekend. I truly appreciate the extra effort to ensure he would be good while in their care.

Jackye and Todd were fantastic with Bella! Their communication was outstanding every step of the way, from the initial booking message through follow-up after pickup. They even sent a detailed report card covering how she ate, played, and settled in throughout the day, so I never had to wonder how she was doing. It's clear they genuinely care about the pups in their care, and that kind of attentiveness means a lot when you're trusting someone with your fur baby. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!

This is our second time using Jacqueline & Todd and we always use them for as long as they continue to have this business. They love our dogs like they are a part of their family and it shows! They make leaving the dogs behind completely stress free.

Jackie and Todd were so fantastic with my Mabel! I booked last minute, and they were so gracious to watch her over the 4th of July weekend on such a short notice. Very communicative and I loved how attentive they were with her! She was without a doubt spoiled to the max! I would 11/10 book again!

Schedule

Pet care is the center of our daily routine, not something we squeeze in around another job. As empty nesters who work from home, we are available throughout the day to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, meals, enrichment, walks, rest, and individual attention. Our schedule follows a predictable rhythm, while still allowing us to adjust to each dog’s normal routine, age, energy level, and comfort. A typical day may include supervised yard time, structured play, sniffing activities, puzzles, short training moments, walks, quiet time, and plenty of affection. We pay close attention to changes in appetite, bathroom habits, energy, mobility, and behavior. This is especially important for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs who need medication, additional potty breaks, or more time to settle into a new environment. Dogs in our care are not expected to entertain themselves or simply figure things out. Whether we are caring for them in our home or visiting theirs, they receive attentive, hands-on care as part of the natural rhythm of our day.

Safety, trust & environment

We provide boarding, doggie daycare, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Care is structured, closely supervised, and adjusted to each dog’s needs, personality, routine, and comfort level. For boarding and daycare, we use gradual introductions rather than immediately placing a new dog into the group. We pay attention to body language, play style, energy, personal space, and how quickly each dog becomes comfortable. We share our home with three resident dogs and a foster dog, so we are experienced in managing different personalities, ages, energy levels, and group dynamics. Dogs are never forced to socialize or participate in group play. We have multiple indoor spaces, open crates, separate feeding areas, and quiet places where dogs can rest away from activity. Outdoor time takes place in our secure, fully fenced yard and is supervised. Meals, treats, toys, and high-value items are managed carefully, particularly when multiple dogs are present. Dogs are separated for meals and whenever individual space is needed. Because two adults are home, we can monitor dogs throughout the day and respond quickly to changes in behavior, health, mobility, or comfort. For walks and drop-in visits, we carefully follow your household instructions for feeding, medications, access, potty routines, and safety. We check doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses, and we make sure pets are comfortable and settled before leaving. Across every service, our goal is to provide clean, dependable, well-managed care where pets feel safe, respected, and understood.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day is built around each dog’s routine, age, energy level, and preferences. We balance activity with enrichment, individual attention, and meaningful rest so dogs can enjoy themselves without becoming overstimulated. For dogs boarding in our home or attending daycare, the day may include: • Regular potty breaks and supervised yard time • Walks paced for the dog’s age, health, and mobility • Small-group or individual play • Sniffing games and mental enrichment • Puzzles, Kongs, and treat-based activities • Short training moments that reinforce calm household manners • Quiet time, naps, and breaks from group activity • Individual attention and plenty of affection Not every dog wants the same kind of day. Some enjoy active play, movement games, and social time. Others prefer exploring the yard, working on a puzzle, resting in a quiet room, or relaxing near us. We do not force dogs to play or remain in a busy environment when they need space. You will also usually find something baking in our kitchen. We love being home, and dogs can nap nearby, relax in a comfortable area, or supervise from a safe distance. Our home feels lived-in and welcoming, rather than like a traditional boarding facility. For dog walking, we focus on safe movement, sniffing, engagement, and the dog’s normal walking routine. During drop-in visits, we provide potty breaks, feeding, medication support, play, enrichment, and companionship based on your instructions. We provide useful updates about more than just playtime. We pay attention to how dogs are eating, sleeping, resting, using the bathroom, socializing, and adjusting throughout their care. Our goal is for every dog to have a well-balanced day where they can move, think, play, rest, and feel comfortable at their own pace.

We are not looking for perfect dogs. We are looking for honest information that helps us care for your dog safely and successfully. Before boarding or daycare, we begin with a meet and greet. We generally start with a calm, controlled introduction outside or near the gate, giving the dog time and space to observe us and the environment before moving forward. When possible, we may recommend a short Fit Check visit before a longer stay. This allows your dog to experience our home, our dogs, and our routine before being left for an extended period. Gradual introductions can be especially helpful for puppies, first-time boarders, cautious dogs, and dogs who have not spent much time away from home. Please tell us about your dog’s normal routine, including: • Feeding schedule, treats, and food restrictions • Medications, allergies, health conditions, or mobility concerns • Potty schedule and any recent accidents • Walking habits and leash behavior • Sleep routine and preferred resting space • Comfort around dogs, children, and unfamiliar adults • Play style and feelings about toys, food, and personal space • Fears, triggers, or situations that cause stress • How your dog behaves when you leave home • Any history of guarding, escaping, biting, mounting, excessive barking, or destructive behavior Please let us know if your dog pulls strongly on leash, jumps on people, counter surfs, guards food or toys, becomes distressed when separated, needs frequent potty breaks, or benefits from time away from other dogs. We also want to know what helps your dog feel safe. Familiar words, routines, bedtime habits, favorite toys, calming strategies, and small details can make a big difference. The more we know before care begins, the better we can prepare the environment, support your dog, and create a positive experience for everyone.
