Pet care experience

Full-Time Pet Care Professionals

Because pet care is our full-time profession, we are able to give dogs the enrichment, attention, and hands-on care they need throughout the day. This is not something we fit around another job. Whether dogs are staying in our home, joining us for daycare, going on walks, or receiving drop-in visits, pet care is our primary focus every day. Dogs in our care are actively supervised, guided, and engaged. For in-home stays, we structure the day with movement, enrichment, rest, and routine. For walks and drop-ins, we bring that same level of attention, consistency, and follow-through into our clients’ homes. We also operate a professional pet waste removal service, which means yard safety, cleanliness, and hygiene are part of how we think about dog care, not an afterthought. We welcome high-energy dogs. That is one of our strengths. We know how to work with movement, excitement, and drive without letting things turn into chaos. Energy is directed through structured activity, mental work, and clear guidance. As empty nesters, our days are built around the dogs in our care. Being home full time allows us to stay flexible and responsive across all services, from boarding and daycare to scheduled walks and drop-in visits. Dogs are never left unattended while we head off to another job. We provide enrichment throughout the day using tools like puzzles and Kongs, planned movement, sniff work, and appropriate downtime. There is plenty of play, plenty of structure, and plenty of snuggles. Dogs are known as individuals, not just part of a schedule. We are especially great with: • High-energy dogs who need movement, mental work, and leadership • Puppies and young dogs learning routines, boundaries, and house manners • Social dogs who enjoy a structured day care-style environment • Senior dogs who need patience, medication support, and extra check-ins • Dogs who benefit from thoughtful, supervised care, whether in our home or yours Our days follow a professional dog care rhythm with structured activity, enrichment, rest breaks, and routine. Dogs are not left to figure things out on their own. We read body language, step in early, and adjust care based on what each dog needs, whether that happens during a boarding stay, a walk, or a drop-in visit. Most dogs settle in quickly and respond well to the consistency we provide. If you are looking for professional, full-time pet care across boarding, daycare, dog walking, drop-in visits, and yard care, this is that kind of place. 💜

Jacqueline and Todd were both attentive towards our dogs. They had tons of patience and were able to give our dogs some more direction as far as adequate behavior. They both kept us updated each day with how the dogs were doing and extremely helpful through the whole process. I highly recommend them!

This couple Rock! We adopted our dog late March 2026. Early May, she was sick and diagnosed with Pancreatitis. Then we learned of a planned family reunion 1500 miles away at the end of May. We thought one of us may need to stay home with our much loved dog. Then we learned about Rover and found this amazing couple that lived close by, had experience with pancreatitis, and agreed to watch our new rescue dog for 10 days! I took them SO many things. Special food I prepared. Some frozen as it would be a 10 day stay. Special treats, yogurt, pumpkin. Etc and they had to be careful our dog didn’t eat another dogs food and vice versa. They did amazing with all my detailed instructions, and sent photos and videos daily to share how happy our dog was. They returned all the prepared containers of food washed and ready for refill. And because my dog is sick, and is adjusting to her new diet, she had an accident and they washed her bed! I can only give them my highest recommendation! They clearly love all dogs and want them to live their best life even when the dogs ‘Mom & Dad’ are away.

Schedule

Pet care is part of our daily routine, not something we fit in around other commitments. As empty nesters, we’re home most of the day, which allows us to keep a consistent, predictable schedule that supports boarding, daycare, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Our days include structured meal times, regular potty breaks, supervised yard time, scheduled walks, and intentional check-ins. We balance play, enrichment, light training, and plenty of snuggles while being thoughtful about activity so dogs get what they need without being rushed or overlooked. Because we’re home and hands-on, we closely monitor behavior, energy levels, and any special needs throughout the day, especially for senior dogs or pups who benefit from extra support. Dogs here aren’t left to figure things out on their own. Whether care happens in our home or yours, dogs are part of the natural rhythm of our day.

Safety, trust & environment

We provide boarding, doggie day care, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Care is structured, supervised, and tailored to each dog’s individual needs based on the service provided. We begin with a thoughtful introduction process for in-home care and adjust routines based on energy level, temperament, and comfort. We also share our home with three resident dogs and a foster, which means we are experienced in managing group dynamics, introductions, and individual needs in a supervised setting. For in-home care, outdoor time takes place in our secure, fully fenced yard and is always supervised. Indoors, dogs have a clean, comfortable space to rest, with close monitoring throughout the day since two adults are home. This allows us to maintain a predictable environment where dogs can settle in comfortably. For dog walking and drop-in visits, we focus on consistency, safety, and attentiveness in the client’s home. We follow household instructions for feeding, medications, routines, and access, and we make sure pets are settled before leaving. Across all services, our priority is creating a well-managed experience where pets feel secure, cared for, and understood.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day is shaped around each dog’s energy level, routine, and preferences, with a balance of movement, enrichment, and rest. For dogs staying in our home or attending doggie day care, the day includes daily walks, supervised play, structured movement, enrichment activities like puzzles and Kongs, sniff work, and regular rest breaks. Walks are part of the daily routine for boarders and are paced appropriately for the dog. Activities rotate throughout the day so dogs stay engaged without becoming overwhelmed. Some dogs love active play and movement games, while others prefer mental work, exploring the yard, or relaxing nearby with human company. You will also usually find something baking in our kitchen. We love being home, and dogs are welcome to hang nearby, nap, or supervise from a safe distance. It is part of the everyday rhythm of a lived-in home, not a facility. For dog walking and drop-in visits, care is tailored to the dog and the household. Walks focus on exercise, sniffing, and engagement. During drop-ins, we handle potty breaks, feeding, enrichment, play, and connection, and we make sure dogs are settled before leaving. We keep a predictable rhythm with structured meals, regular potty breaks, supervised yard time, daily walks, and intentional downtime. Because we are hands-on throughout the day, we adjust activities based on energy, mood, and individual needs, especially for puppies, high-energy dogs, and senior dogs. The goal is a well-managed day where dogs get to move, think, play, rest, and enjoy being dogs while receiving real attention and care.

Before we begin care, including boarding, walks, or drop-in visits, there are a few things that really help us do right by your dog. We always start with a meet and greet, and we meet through the gate first. That gives your dog space to check us out and lets us see how they approach new people and a new environment. We pay attention to body language, energy, curiosity, and how they settle once the excitement wears off. That first impression tells us a lot. Ahead of time, we need to know the real details about your dog’s day to day life. How they walk on leash. How they feel about food, toys, and personal space. How they do around other dogs and new people. What excites them and what stresses them out. Please also share feeding routines, medications, allergies, and any health concerns. If your dog counter surfs, pulls on leash, guards resources, gets anxious when you leave, or needs breaks from group time, that’s important for us to know. We walk boarders daily and manage group interactions thoughtfully, so honesty here really matters. We’re not looking for perfect dogs. We’re looking for information. The more you share up front, the better we can support your dog and set everyone up for a good experience.
