Availability
I’m a full time worker and am unfortunately back in the office five days a week. However, I do have half days on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labour Day. So as of right now, my best availability is Friday afternoons and all day Saturday and Sunday for full time care of your pet. If you’re comfortable with me leaving your pet alone for a minimum 10 hours Monday-Thursday, I am happy to discuss pet sitting options.

Definitely let me know any routines or quirks your pet may have. It can be anything from avoiding people wearing hats on walks to feeding them their treats in a specific manner. Any behavioural issues would be good to know, as well. Especially for dogs when we do walks it would be best to know if they are reactive or have any kind of social anxiety. And if there have been any prior injuries, please let me know so that I can be gentle with your pet.
A typical day
I've had experience with high and low energy pets. I'm happy to accommodate your pet's routine(s) whether that's needing playtime every day or some quiet time. For my high energy clients, I'm happy to do daily walks and outside play time. I also love playing hide and seek with treats to keep your pet stimulated. For my low energy clients, I see us spending time lounging but doing a few laps back and forth between the kitchen. And every client will get pats for being the bestest boy/girl.

I’ve had cats growing up all my life and was a dog mom for 5 years before my dog passed. I’m used to adapting to a variety of pet needs, whether that means administering medication or following a daily schedule. I’ve cared for a couple senior dogs in the past, and even once took care of one who was extremely skittish around new people. I’ve also had experience with multiple pet households, whether that’s all cats, all dogs, or a mix.

Jaqi was a great pet sitter for my cat! She has watched him multiple times and would spend time with him and send me photos. He loves her. She would also keep an eye on my apartment to make sure there were no issues. Highly recommend her!
My dog Pocket absolutely loved his time with Jaqi. She took such great care of him and treated him like he was her own. I felt completely at ease the entire time because she was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated. Pocket came home happy, calm, and clearly well-loved. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter and I’ll definitely be booking with Jaqi again.
Jaqi house sat for us with our extra large mixed dog. He’s very timid and scared of everything (especially inflatable lawn decor). Jaqi was great with him and he LOVED her. She was respectful of the house and our space. I’d definitely book again!
