I have had dogs in my life ever since I can remember. Starting at a very young age, my grandmother taught me how to properly care for dogs, as she always had at least 2 dogs throughout my childhood. My passion and genuine love for dogs was instant. Taking everything I learned from my grandmother, I convinced my parents I was ready to have my own dog as an early teen. Neighbors and family members have always trusted me with their fur babies. I also have experience caring for senior dogs. Three years ago we lost my beloved 15-year-old chihuahua mix whom I had since he was 8 weeks old. His last 2 years of life involved administering several daily medications and specialty food. He also had a decline in mobility, cognition, vision, and continence, which required extra care and lots of patience. My husband and I currently have a sweet, energetic 6-year-old Shepard/hound mix that we rescued when he was 4 months old. I look forward to a meet and greet.
