Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals and outdoors. I typically start my mornings with exercise or a long walk, so having a dog join me for walks, fresh air, and adventure is something I truly enjoy rather than view as a task. My work schedule is generally a standard 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, but because of the flexibility of my position, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Outside of work, I naturally spend a lot of my free time hiking, exploring nature, or relaxing at home, which makes it easy to give pets both activity and quality downtime. I’m also someone who plans ahead and takes reliability seriously. In the event of an emergency, I have wonderful neighbors nearby (my sister lives next door!) who can assist if needed, so your pet will always be well cared for and looked after.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for every pet like they’re my own and focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I live in an apartment community on the second floor with no balcony, which helps create a secure space for pets. My apartment also has large windows with lots of natural light, and there’s a park very close by with plenty of grass and space for walks and outdoor time. I currently have no kids or other pets, so if your animal prefers being the only pet or doesn’t get along well with others, that’s absolutely not a problem. I also have some basic dog training experience and truly believe in following the owner’s instructions closely so your pet’s routine, comfort, and boundaries stay consistent. Crate or no crate, as long as they are potty trained in general - we are good to go!

Information Jacqueline D. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible so I can keep their routine consistent, safe, and stress-free. A few things I always like to know are: • Feeding schedule and portion sizes • Typical walk/exercise routine • Are treats okay? Any food restrictions or allergies? • Is people food allowed or not allowed? • Any medications, medical conditions, anxieties, or special circumstances • How your pet behaves around other animals or people while on walks • Any commands, training routines, or behaviors you’re currently working on so I can stay consistent with your training • Preferred veterinarian and emergency contact information in case anything unexpected comes up The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home!
A typical day
Activities totally depend on the personality, age, and energy level of the pet I’m caring for. I think that’s really important! For high-energy dogs, I love getting outside for walks, park trips, hikes, playtime, and adventures. For older pets or lower energy dogs, I’m just as happy slowing things down with belly rubs, cozy snuggles, calm walks, and quality relaxation time. I am very versatile and I try to match each pet’s vibe so they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for.

Where Walks Become Adventures!
Pet care experience
I’ve been a caretaker at heart my entire life — for both people and animals. Caring for pets isn’t just something I do, it’s something I genuinely love. I’m patient, dependable, adventurous, and believe every pet deserves care that matches their personality, comfort level, and energy. One thing that really sets me apart is how much I genuinely enjoy getting dogs outside and engaged with the world around them. I absolutely love nature, hiking, exploring trails, going on walks, and spending time outdoors, so if your dog enjoys adventures, sniffing new places, or burning off energy outside, we’ll get along great. Whether it’s a relaxing walk, a trip to the dog park, a scenic hike, or just soaking up the sunshine, I love creating fun, enriching experiences for active dogs. At the same time, I also have a huge soft spot for senior pets and animals who need a little extra patience, gentleness, or medical attention. I hold a CNA license and am comfortable administering medications and helping care for pets with special needs or health routines. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, especially when extra care is involved, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your pet is an adventurous hiking buddy, a playful puppy, a senior needing extra TLC, or a couch-loving cuddle expert, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for all different types of animals, including horses, turtles, snakes, and chickens - so matter the type of furbaby you have - that is cool with me! I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is having a great time and is in good hands.
Reviews
Jackie is fantastic and patient ! Follows instructions and criteria to a T - Animals love her. She has watched my dog on multiple occasions and is easy to work with.
Jackie has watched my cat multiple times over the years, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. She has helped me out with everything from quick feedings when my travel plans were delayed to full weekend stays while I was away, and every single time I’ve felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in her care. My cat doesn’t prefer new environments so Jackie stays at my home and is very respectful of my home and space. She always sends thoughtful updates and pictures, which means so much when you’re missing your pet, and it’s obvious she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. My cat is older and I’m very particular about who I trust with her, and Jackie has consistently been reliable, communicative, kind, and attentive. It’s such a relief having someone dependable who treats your pet like their own, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found her.
Jacqueline/Jackie was a supportive and compassionate pet sitter who went above and beyond for me and my senior kitty. She has watched my kitty boy on an handful of occasion as and proved to be as reliable and she is friendly. I was grateful to receive regular updates from her about my kitty’s food and health while I have traveled. I was especially lucky to have her looking out for my kitty on a weekend when he became unexpectedly sick. Jackie was able to call me and notify me, and then follow my directions over the phone to administer his meds to make sure he was comfortable. While I was traveling home, it was such a relief to know that she was looking out for my kitty’s health, like I would myself. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, compassionate and confidence caretaker for my pet. Beyond just pet sitting, she is a genuinely delightful person to work with! I know my pet is in helpful hands with Jackie!!
