Hi, my name is Jacqueline and I grew up in a poor family on a small hobby farm in the middle of the woods at the base of the Adirondack mountains of central New York, and so I am well-versed in caring for a wide array of pets, to include an assortment of small wild animals the barn cats brought us still alive, and some basic natural remedies as we were recalcitrant to call the vet for anything other than an absolute emergency. Dogs, cats (both indoor and outdoor), rabbits, birds of all sorts, donkeys, horses, lizards, etc. I joined the Marine Corps out of high school and spent 10 consecutive months in Iraq where I learned basic emergency care and how to maintain a calm demeanor in all kinds of highly stressful situations. I love all animals and having been a dog owner who liked to travel, I know how important it is to have someone knowledgable and can handle a stressful situation with calm and ease. I am also very active and happy to take your pet for a run in addition to walks if they are the sort who would benefit from that sort of thing. I also have a way with notoriously shy cats, which I almost didn't put down because I don't want to jinx it, but it is true.
