I am a retired NYC School Teacher of 30 years. I am a healthy & a happy person. I love to travel & When I return home, I have lots of free time to dedicate to our delightful furry friends. We love all dogs. We are inclusive with dogs that are friendly. We also respect their individuality & can provide a quite calm space for dogs are in independent. All dogs are welcome at anytime. We do ask for a meet & greet to view your dog & see if your dog responds well to us. I spent many years working closely with early childhood students, so I have lots of patience & safety precaution skills. My family supports dogs💗 we are a team of dog lovers. We can provide a safe social dog setting in our spacious home. I love providing an environment that allows friendly dogs to bond indoors & outdoors. We book kind hearted dogs that are overall friendly to other dogs. Safety is the first priority. 👍 We use high quality non fiber, waterproof, XL, cool to the touch, Hyper allergenic Mats that dogs really appreciate: Super soft for play, sleep. So you don’t need to provide a dog bed. These Luxurious mats are Super for all dogs to comfortably fall asleep.

When I went to drop off my dog, Jacqueline informed me she had fallen ill and declined my request to have a look at her apartment. Of course that is completely within her rights but I still felt uncomfortable committing to a long stay under the circumstances and decided to cancel the stay. She declined a refund. I want to make it clear that I can't say I had a bad experience with her as a dog sitter since my dog did not stay with her.
Jacqueline is great taking care of our dog. Our dog has stayed with her several times with no issues. Our dog is always very excited to be dropped off once we get close to Jacqueline's place so that is a great review too.
I think my dog did fine with Jacqueline, but she was not very communicative. I received photos the first night, then nothing for the next 2 days. And I wish I'd been informed that another dog would be staying with her at the same time. I can imagine that not working for some dogs.
Jacqueline and her son took very good care of my shy older dog, who liked it there so much she didn’t want to leave when I came to get her! For my dog, I think I’ve found her vacation spot!

Jackie was wonderful with our pup! He came home relaxed as ever. She was attentive to his needs, sent us updates during his stay, and communicated with us clearly. She even took the time to do a “meet and greet” before the stay to ensure he was compatible and comfortable. We would highly recommend Jackie and look forward to booking her next time!!

Schedule
I feel it's important for us to get to know your dog's personality & the developmental stage he or she is presently in. This allows us to best serve his or her present needs. We create meaningful fun family moments with your dog at the “center of our family time.” In our home your dog will receive lots of care: petting, snuggling, play time & belly rubs. Your dog will have a choice of who they want to gravitate to.. My super gentle adult son or myself. while your away.. & In case you happen to encounter an emergency or any sudden interruptions we are going to provide the back to care for your dog. instead of you having to hire a new sitter to pick your dog. We prefer to do at least one "meet and greet" in a public place. Spending ten mins will defiantly be worth taking the time to get to know your dog style & It really is the best way to understand every dog that will come aboard under our care. Quality & kindness is really our aim to build a healthy bond. After we have completed our one time “meet & greet” automatically you become clients that can book right away. This helps in high season so you don’t miss out on the booking scheduled you prefer. After you accept the booking on the app I will provide you with the drop off & pick up address. I am near Saint John’s Cathedral. I don’t usually do pick up or drop off service. Please do not modify any changes to our agreement on the app after the meet & greet has been finalized.

I respect my clients time. I am flexible & willing to accommodate to your schedule if there is a travel delay, weather delays, cancelation flights…perhaps if you want to extend your vacation.👍 We can accommodate an extension of care service. We are flexible. Health History is important to share, any health issues your dog may have: allergies, problems walking ,climbing minimal stairs, heat sensitive, or requires high levels of water intake, medications required.. All owners are expected to include :food, doggy bags. I have plenty of dog bowls. I prefer no dog beds as they ranks equal to bed mattresses which should not be transferred to & fro homes. Our cushioned wipeable dog mats work best for dog beds & a blanket is fine. unless “it a must” for your dog to sleep in a their dog bed ( I can accommodate ). We have no problem with dog’s sleeping on the couches since we have washable softer throw covers.
A typical day
We enjoy long walks at riverside drive park & use the gated dog run park. They even have a separate small and large gated sections. Often a special visit to a gated sand park facing the Hudson river which is a big hit for playing : fetch, rolling in the sand & digging to china.. My dog clients love the sand park all year round. It cold weather we walk to nearby garden street spaces.

- What is your dogs energy disposition? What is the daily routine like? If your dog has any separation anxiety behaviors or repetitious behaviors : constant barking, whimpers, scratches on spot until red, or if he or she is as independent & carefree as a breeze.. What is your dogs eating habits ? Any medical issues? What type of walk fits your dog best? What is the expected norm for his or her walks to reach the daily duties? ? ! What are your dog’s triggers to avoid while on walks or at home? Are their any city sounds that are triggers? : Scooters, motor bikes, skate borders, door knocking , door bell, ambulance, washing machine, tv sounds elevators, rain, thunder, police sirens etc, What types of dog does your dog like or doesn’t like? Would your dog be most happy in their own private space ? Or in a cage ? I have gates & cages to accommodate such needs. What's comforts your dog to sleep? Does your dog have any weaknesses or temptations ? What should I avoid at home or outside ? Birds, children, squirrels, eats street floor scraps, jumps after table food ? Chews shoes etc. Any prior accidents ? Physical accidents? Any problem sharing his toys? If your dog had accidents inside the home with #1 or #2 I really need to know.. pls keep in mind that any prior or pending vet appointments are be done before or after your booking. I do not take pets to personal vet appointments ( my window of care is an uninterrupted booking). I am more than happy to accommodate any sudden medical condition or an emergency with the attention of Rovers medical support including hospital or a visit to the vet. I will stand by your dog. Packing TIP: pls. Label what you send or leave it home. I have plenty of bowls. Pls note toys are at your own risk. At times toys will get damaged or lost & will not be replaced. I have toys here for dogs to play. It may help you to take one visually organized group picture of all the dog items you’re sending if your dog does not travel light. Congrats !!
